So /spg/, Canadafag here, for the past year my HTC One X has basically been on life support. I'm using Android 5.0.2 through Resurrection Remix ROM, which was OK for a while since it gave me a semi-modern OS, but lately the phone has been almost unusable. I'm ready to move on.

To be honest I still miss my Blackberry 9300 in some ways, and right now the Blackberry Priv is now on for $0 with a two-year term from Bell. The physical keyboard seems like a nice throwback to the good old days, and you get Android out of the box plus guaranteed security updates for at least two more years. Seems pretty good, should I cop? Any issues with this phone that the usual channels don't acknowledge?

I haven't had any problems, must have got a good one. It's been about 2 months I've had it. Charging is slow, but that's probably just fast charging that has spoiled me. Battery life is good though. I can't give any feedback on the mic/ear speaker quality. Back speaker is pretty quiet. Camera is mediocre at best. Screen looks good but colors are very cool and is rough on the eyes in the dark. Nearly stock Android, and there's been OTA security patches (surprisingly).

Keep in mind this wasn't bought as a primary phone, but as a toy. I'm very pleased with it and would use it as my daily driver. Remember it's GSM only.

If you get it, get the one with 2GB RAM, it's only $10 more.

I have a LG v10 thats about 4 months old, and now i can barely go 30 minutes of light internet browsing without using 20% of my battery. I went to the phone shop and they replaced my battery for free, but it doesnt seem to help. Ive made sure i have as few programs runbing in the background as possible and my screen brightness is usually around 15-25%. is there any other tips for ibcreasing battery life or should i get a new phone? Im not running cyanogen or any other ROMs

Best phone I've had so far. Was nervous about it because of the scratch resistance but my screen is flawless so far without any protection. It doesn't even attract smudges and fingerprints as bad as previous glass.

No idea, but it's getting new builds almost every day and I'm pretty sure the FP reader works on it now.

The default rom isn't terrible, it's just bloated and chinese which means it looks like a material iOS. The phone doesn't get too hot despite being a 61X chip, the FP reader is decently fast, no issues even on the stock rom.

Does anyone on Virgin Mobile (in the US) know if their sim cards can be moved to another phone? I have their data done right plan, which, because of how poorly built their system is, is currently effectively giving me free service. I'd like to ditch my old moto e, and I've seen some compatible phones but just want to make sure.

Its a normal sprint card, so theoretically it should work, right?

Smartphones are devices designed to immediately deteriorate, buying one that Cletus McGill has used for a year and handed back under contract will always net you a half functional device.

I have the Z3 compact, it's the best phone I've ever owned.

Sony's additions are very light and easily ignored. Some of it (like the Stamina and Ultra Stamina modes) is fantastic.

Two years later it's still zippy for me. It does reload apps and web tabs pretty often though, if you're concerned about ram. The Z3 might not as much, I think it has 1GB more RAM than the compact.

I doubt it, but to perfectly honest I don't really know.

I can say that after two years of daily use I can still usually get almost two days out of my Z3c on Stamina mode, long as I'm not playing any games. Can't imagine a new battery would fare worse, even one that's been sitting in a warehouse for a long time.

It would come down to how they were stored - if it was humid and hot, then I would expect a decrease in battery life to be sure.

I bought my Galaxy 4 in mint condition off of fleabay for $100, and that was nearly a year ago.

The only thing that sucks, is if you us a CM ROM, you'll notice some screen burn-in at the top from the TouchJizz UI, because of those shitty Super AMOLED screens. But only on white background.

Fucking fantastic phone. A bit laggy, though great all around.
