>UNIX emulator with GNU tools on Windows
Why did you never told me, /g/?
>>56621810
kill yourself
>>56621810
Why would you use that when Windows literally comes with a Linux subsystem that doesn't need compiled-specifically-for-Cygwin binaries and can run native Linux ones instead?
>>56621810
If you weren't running a centuries-old distro you could make use of the Linux-for-Windows subsystem instead of a poorly-made replica.
>>56621810
Why is it so hard for people to install linux? you can dualboot it with Windows....
>>56621834
Because the only Windows version that does is also the worst operating system to have ever existed?
>>56621810
it's so slow. like crazy slow.
>>56621810
too bad it'll never be the real thing.
>>56621810
you can surgically attach a cock to a woman but at the end of the day she's just an ugly tranny
>>56621834
it's not worth running an overall shittier version of my OS for one feature.
>>56621810
strong grammar
Linux = Life
Windows is just the garbage you've been indoctrinated to use. Think for your goddamn self child.

t. the guy that uses linux to fit in on /g/
>>56622197
>t. edgy /pol/ crossboarder
>>>/out/
>>56621810
Because it's nothing more than a placebo. Installing an UNIX emulator won't make your windows system go UNIX
>>56621810
Use MinGW if you actually want to make Windows binaries from a UNIX-ish environment. Sure Cygwin is more full featured, but you'll only be able to distribute binaries to other people running Cygwin.

Pretty sure Cygwin is no longer GPL licensed, unless you're referring to something else.
