I have iOS 10 on my iPhone and iPad, and the corresponding updates on my Apple TV and Watch.

It's all great. I love the new HomeKit stuff, and the new Control Center (did you notice the flashlight widget in Control Center now has three brightness settings?). The new Music app is less of a pile, the new Maps app is so good that I might actually use it, and notifications/bubbles in general are a lot less wasteful of space on the iPad than they used to be.

Also, I really like the PCalc widget.

You know, I went through my edgy freetard phase too. Every technologist does. I used Linux, I ran Android, I pretended GIMP and OpenOffice (dating myself there, I know) were just as good as their proprietary counterparts.

And then I grew up, and I didn't have the luxury of babysitting my tech anymore.

If anyone's deserving of being called 'kid', it's the NEETs who actually have the time and willpower to make something like Android relatively functional and secure, and maintain it that way.

For what it's worth, Apple Music can now automatically manage the storage of music on your device. It can automatically download your entire library, and start removing music (starting with the stuff you listen to the least) when it starts running out of space for everything else. I'm not sure if media is your problem, but if it is, iOS 10 might actually help you.

Also, for the love of god, use Google Photos. It's free, and it'll get your 9000+ photos off your local storage.

Only thing that is slightly improved is apple maps but I don't even use it because I've replaced all the shitty apple apps with 3rd party alternatives. Everything is pretty much the same other than the shit I mentioned above. I think iOS has reached the peak of innovation.

Kinda sucked how I had to lock down the lock screen after the update, but it was a 1-time thing (kind of like the stock app deletion), so its not a huge deal. Just a minor gripe.

This morning I decided to update the iPhone I use for development to ios 10.
Result: xcode can't deploy without update -> updated xcode (2h) -> now have to use swift3 with breaks FUCKING EVERYTHING. They did the equivalent of replacing the Java Object by Obj, but created a different class called - you guessed it - Object.
