Getting a new laptop tomorrow, not sure which one yet.

What is the best software to install straight away. (free or not) and safety precautions. And any guides to uninstalling useless bloatware?

It'll most likely be a Windows 7 or 8.1.

You'll probably want to do a clean install of Windows first, to get rid of all the pre-installed crap that the manufacturer decided to include.
