Opus or vorbis ideally,or aac.
All three sound nearly indistinguishable from a CD at or above 140 kbps,especially opus.
Most if not all android phones don't play opus natively however.so you need a music player to do that like AIMP,but many others work well with oopus too.

I (aimpdude) use foobar2000 and use opusenc.exe (placed in the foobar install directory) http://www.rarewares.org/opus.php
Or on the foobar site there's a whole encoder pack that includes opus (but excludes lame mp3)so you can try those tooI use 144 kbps,totally transparent to me.
