Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this, but I'm sure some of you know that answer.
I have a vinyl that has a 1.2tb bounty, I bought it since I found it cheap second-hand, but I don't actually have anything to rip it with, so I figured I might as well buy a turntable.
So my question is, elitism aside, is the AT-LP60 (or anything in that price range) acceptable for ripping vinyl? I literally just want to rip it to lossless and never play the record again, so I don't care if it "ruins" vinyls like a lot of the reviews I've read say, since I'll only be playing it once or twice.
I just want to know if the output sound quality is acceptable.
I've read a lot of different opinions on the sound quality, and I'm pretty sure it comes down to "it's cheap so the quality isn't consistent across different devices", but I just want to make sure.
There is also a USB version, but I think it only outputs 16bit/44.1kHz according to the spec sheet. I'm not sure if the USB output or line out to my onboard audio would be better, my onboard (supposedly) supports capturing 24bit/192kHz, though I'm not sure how good it actually is (Motherboard specs if anyone knows anything about audio chipsets: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H97M%20Pro4/?cat=Specifications).

Screenshots are completely optional, and the process they're taken isn't even standardized.
