Yes, we know everything already is from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on Gearbest, AliExpress, eBay and similar sites.

Only 52 days until Halloween, what's your scariest chink shit product/experience?

for what purpose? using the data connection or analog (voice/sms) services? either way yes you can, but what is it you're trying to do?

Just call your phone provider and they can probably sort you out with a compatible dongle for free.

Where can i look for a good rep of pic related?
>>
>>56484650
I live in a third world shit-country, i highly doubt that will happen for free.. thats why i am trying to get a chink one
>>
>>56484620
depends on what software and hardware you are using, what you are looking for is called a *drumroll* gprs/lte modem. if it is just internet you are after the consumer product for that is called a dongle.
>>
>>56484682
Yupoo or iOffer
>>
>>56484700
They're going to fuck you on 3G data, you can get one for "free".
>>
>>56484701
>>56484728
Well thank for helping me out, i think that using my phone as a usb tether works just fine. I was more interested on using the chip to automatically send sms
>>
>>56484700
>>56484701
just make sure whatever you buy uses the same radio bands as your telco.. as I said for analog stuff it depends on hardware/software, doubt there's anything that will do it out of the box for the prices you're looking to pay. dongle is likely the way forward.
>>
What the fuck, H101 now "doesn't ship" to my country, although it did an hour ago or so
Am I late?
>>
>>56484801
sms gateway is the keyword you're looking for, there's companies that offer the service via API etc, otherwise you might be able to find some software/hardware to do what you want it to do locally.
>>
>>56484801
Use pushbullet or something to send SMS, ezpz.
>>
>>56484620
I used to use a 3G "router" in my SIM, it come with a software that can connect to the internet and send SMS, but i dunno about calls if this is possible on an router like this.
>>
>>56484872
how does that shit work?

>>56484861

>>56484889
3G router may work, i will search that on eBay and gearbest
>>
>>56484932

The camera is definitely my least favourite part of the phone. It's fine for basic stuff, but I wouldn't call it a selling point. The front facing camera is much better than most, Weibo selfies maybe?
>>
>>56487766

What did you tell them in the ticket?

>>56487849
That my shit never arrived and i had no way of tracking the package because the shipping had no tracking number.

Oh i also told them about the message i wrote in the order "Please don't ship them from Europe because it never arrives, ship it from China instead", they did it anyway.

"Please contact your local post office in charge of your area, stating your name and address.
In some cases, Post office may require customers to collect parcels over there. Kindly let us know the results.
Once we receive all details above, we will offer you the right resolution for your case on this date."

I ordered 6 kingdian ssds but gearbest only shipped 5. The package label had "Accessory x6" so i guess the chinaman who packed them fucked up.

Just got a pair of SNES USB controllers. $3.20 each.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1-x-Retro-Super-for-Nintendo-SNES-USB-Controller-for-PC-for-MAC-Controllers-SEALED/2051991309.html

The plastic feels like the plastic they use on those 500+games in a controller. It also feels hollow and is a bit thicker than an original controller. it is still a great controller though. Have been playing some Donkey Kong Kountry II with no hiccups at all. Pretty solid B- from me. Will make a video review when I have time so stay tuned for that.

I used to have a Galaxy Note 4 that had the sensor on the back which would tell me some things about my health like whether I'm really stressed and shit like that.

I got a Huawei phone now and I kind of want that functionality back would this work?

also is there any way to not make it look stupid because I prefer to wear a watch and not one of these smart bands.

Watch on left band on right?
>>
Okie dokie /csg/, a bunch of my chink shit arrived in the past couple days so I thought I'd give some first impressions/reviews of them.

James Donkey Mouse:

I paid 10 bucks for this mouse and was honestly surprised with the quality, it's got a decent amount of weight to it and the overall construction seems to be pretty good, but that's where the good stuff stops for me.

The design of the mouse makes it pretty hard to palm grip, which is my preferred style, the low back on the mouse, very easily pressed mouse 1 and mouse 2 buttons as well as the surprisingly sticky side grips mean that it's intended almost exclusively for claw and fingertip grip users.

The slightly flat cable came folded over on itself and whilst the mounts to the mouse itself and to the USB connector seems strong the cable itself is lacking somewhat. Along with that the rubberized cable means that it gets caught on stuff a lot compared to the braided cable on my M65.

The scroll wheel is alright, but the lack of texture and very smooth design means that it's very easy to try and scroll but just slide your finger over the wheel without realising it. It's good that the rubber or silicone that they used for the wheel is pretty grippy because otherwise the wheel would be horrible.

The DPI switch feels really flimsy but it's good that it's included because the default DPI is stupid low, and that's coming from someone that already has a really low DPI on my mouse because I play CS:GO.

The foward and back buttons are surprisingly good for a mouse that's been pretty bad so far, though I don't use them because I use middle click 99% of the time anyway.

The weight of the mouse is pretty high considering how cheap it is, at 110g it's definitely not a light mouse, it's almost exactly the same weight as my M65 but when you consider the fact that my M65 has a thick aluminum frame and the James Donkey is composed almost entirely of plastic is a bit weird. The problem in the weight department for the James Donkey is that all the weight is sat squarely at the back of the mouse, meaning that it can feel a bit awkward to use and people with a lighter grip might find that the back of the mouse has a tendency to lag behind the front when moving very quickly from side to side, compared to my very evenly weighted M65.

To go into a little more depth about the mouse 1 and 2 buttons I'd describe them as responsive, but still shitty, there's audible feedback from clicks and no give at all before you click there's a fair bit of travel distance before the switch bottoms out as well as a really weak return means that I feel like I have to lift my finger completely off the mouse to return the switch. Of course that's not the case but the actuation weight is still very low.

Overall it seems like an alright mouse for someone who only has 10 bucks to allocate for one, but it really isn't for me because of my mousing style.

600*300mm gaming mousemat

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/csg/32655276092.html

The braiding on the edges is great, I've had a fair few mouse mats in my time that have died or been retired early because the edges started fraying. It's a little thinner than I'd like, but it's passable. The rubberised underside is grippy, but not the best in the world, which is understandable. I haven't had any issues so far with the mousing surface itself and seems to be pretty good so far. The only issue I have with it is that it still smells a fair bit, but I hope that'll fade in time.

Pictured is the green version, because it had a better picture than the black one I ordered.

Orico HDD enclosure.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/ORICO/32514091725.html

I paid 8 bucks for this, and it's pretty good for the price. The platic that the enclosure is made of is pretty crappy, and probably won't hold up to too many hard knocks, but by the time you drop it the HDD inside will be dead anyway.

Transfer speeds are good. I put a spare 320GB SATA2 drive in it and connected it to my computer and had very solid transfer speeds of 100MB/s which is around what I'd expect for USB 3.0.

The enclosure that's pictured on Ali isn't actually the one you get. The one you get has some great chiglish on it as well as a shill for orico's website. So people can know your shame.

The enclosure also comes with a couple adhesive foam pads either to stick to your HDD or the inside of the enclosure itself. Presumably to stop your HDD from bouncing around as much inside.

The cable that it comes with seems to be pretty high quality, doesn't look like it's gonna break any time soon.

I once ordered a tempered glass screenprotector from Ali, for the oneplus one, mind you. But they sent a oneplus two screenprotector.

I disputed and Ali sided with them. They wanted me to send a screenshot to prove that I really have the oneplus one, not the two.

I mean, the order said for the One, but they still wanted me to prove that I have a fucking one and not a two. What kind of logic is that.

Anyway, I proved it and got my dollar back.

Got mine yesterday. Heart rate is pretty much on point on manual testings. It measures in random times also and that must be on point.
Vibration is on the high end, it makes a little noise but I don't mind. I have it all the time connected to my phone RMN3. Unlocking the phone works like magic even though i have it deactivated cause jealous gf can unlock it when i am sleeping lol.
Whenever i receive a notification it vibrates and notifies me. App icons are limited and you can tinker them using an aftermarket app called mi band tools.
Tried to wake up with band alarm but as you can see in the photo i didnt get much sleep.( 100% accurate).
I work as an electrician engineer in a company and in 1 day it already has some minor scratches. Needs a protector film imo. Overall i am happy with my purchase.

Yupoo is just a picture hosting website, much like Flickr or Imgur; it's used by chink vendors to showcase thei counterfeit products, because Aliexpress doesn't allow them anymore.
If you click on the "Profile" section of a yupoo page, it will show you the seller's contacts... most of them use Whatsapp. You contact them send the picture or link of the products you want, and they give you price or other info.
Payment is usually done through Paypal or Aliexpress (they will send the link of a "blank" or a product without logo).

AOFLY Clubmaster knock-offs

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/mememaster/32495013565.html

These only arrived today so I can't really say a heap about how they're holding up, but I can give a first impressions.

The box it comes in is pretty tiny and without any sort of protection other than a plastic sheet over the glasses themselves to prevent scratching in transit. Other than the glasses it comes with a little fabric carrying bag and a fair sized glasses cleaning cloth.

The quality of the build is fairly moderate, the hinges for the arms are a little stiff but I can fix that with a small screwdriver.

They claim to be polarized and I'm inclined to agree because I can't see my phone screen unless it's tipped on it's side. Another reason not to buy the Vernee Thor btw, the polarising filter is off by 90 degrees. The sunglasses also claim to have a hydrophobic lens, which I just tested then, and is also true, I don't know how useful that is to anyone, but they are.

They're cheap sunglasses that seem to do the job. They haven't broken yet and unless I sit on them I don't think they will break for a little while.

May as well do one last review while I'm here.

ROCK Mula IEMs

http://www.gearbest.com/iphone-headsets/pp_249624.html

I was surprised with the quality of the Mulas, paid like $4.70 for something that by far outstripped the Apple Earpods I had been using up until that point. They very comfortable with the silicone tips that they come with and there's very little cable noise when using them, which is one of the big advantages compared to the earpods.

Sound isolation is pretty great, so I don't have to turn them up very loud to be able to hear the music properly.

The in line pause/play and mic is a great addition, just a shame there isn't any volume control.

There's a few cons to go with these as well. The braided cable only extends from the 3.5mm connector to the splitter. The braided cable itself isn't very resistant to twists and will very quickly coil on itself.

The connector itself isn't a right angled one so you can expect it to twist a fair bit in your pocket.

Overall great headphones.

Both Android and Windows parts need some work, as in deleting a lot of shit chink apps.
You should update Windows 10 to the Anniversary Edition, but chances are you don't have enoufgh space on the Windows partition, so look into that.
In your place I would test if WiFi is working good enough (use Netspot on Windows), and if MicroSDs are working on both Android & Windows.

Mine all came from kits which looked like they hadn't changed anything since the 1950s. That one looks good, but I'd suggest getting a cheap one locally first to learn how to build them.

It's also something where you should seriously consider seeking out a local model club or knowledgeable person to help you out for your first few flights because there's a lot of knowledge that can't be learned by watching Youtube videos, and crashing a glider usually results in something breaking.

Yes, and the phone was $80 so a $60 shipping fee is out of the question. I guess I'll just take my paltry refund and good boy points and use the phone as a mobile web browser instead of a phone.
>>
>>56491582
I got one of those too, didn't have a USB checker but it only charged my 2800mAH phone 10% before it died, meaning that the 18650 in it only charged for 280 fucking mah

If that battery kit came with a battery, change it out for a good one

I'm not a doctor but 10h of sleep seems a bit too much, but then again I used to sleep 5 hours on average and it's not healthy
Also when I've stopped going to bed before 02:00, it stopped tracking my sleep and I became assmad
>>
>>56491623
I'll charge it up and see.

Where did you order your 18650?

Also how easy are these thing to open up and is the battery soldered onto the board?

It's really dependent on where you buy from
I just bought off a random seller on eBay for 3 bucks

Batteries can be soldered onto the board, or they just have a battery slot where you can freely, it really depends
You can open it by prying the back open, you can sorta see from the picture.

alright finally got the cunt apart
I pretty much had to make a hole in a corner to pry it apart (you can see it on the pic)

It seems to have a normal battery slot, which is good

now back to charging to charging it to test the capacity

'Sup lads, i was going to order the redmi note 3 pro (3gb/32gb) from aliexpress via DHL, but I received a mail from the seller that said that dhl shippings are usually controlled by customs here in Italy, he said 95%of the times, and since they declare like 45$ I would have to pay some extra money for taxes and shit. Did something similar occur to some of you guys?
Or is it worth buying it from bang good and spend like 20 bucks for the express mail service?

BTW here's the link http://m.banggood.com/Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-3-Pro-5_5-inch-3GB-RAM-32GB-Snapdragon-650-Hexa-core-4G-Smartphone-p-1030944.html

Search for TopOne, ordered 3 times with DHL and payed no customs.

He has someone in UK working for him, who picks up the phones and then with a new tracking he ships to your adress and the new tracking is shipped within EU (UK) so no custom fees. In fact i am waiting for a Mi5 at the moment. My third phone purchase from him.
