Put them together and ran full cycles, - these are calculated mAh figures (scaled from best reference, - the refurbished green Sony):

Green refurb. Sony rated 2550mAh no protection 2550

Black Ultrafire 3600mAh 802

Used an Xtar mini-charger (cheap USB charger, not high voltage). As you can see they are all over the place, one is clearly fake-LiPo-with-bonus-sand,
some are average 1200mAh (better or worse but still actual full-size 18650 in construction). Both the unprotected ones are genuine.

The only complaints is the voltage is off by about 0.04V (or 0.4V I cant remember).
Also the edge of the case cant close all the way due to clearance issues form the board so only three sides are snapped close.

I have a stock response to this now:

Earbuds being 'good' is almost 100% taste.
The shape of your ear lobe modifies sounds as they enter your ear, and since everyone's is unique, sounds actually sound different to every person. Good and bad is really similarity to ear lobes.

There is also the second factor; what you're used to. Using the same pair of earbuds for a long time makes your brain adjust to the sound, and so other earbuds sound kinda unnatural and weird for a while.

Both these factors can make one earbud sound great to one person and shit to another.

So instead you should focus on other qualities, such as response curve, to try and find the kind of response you like out of earbuds. The zircons have a good response curve, and so do the hybrids. just had a remax RB-S3 headset thingy arrive, and for £8 it's pretty good, sound quality isn't the best but bloody good for a bluetooth headset, supposedly has an 8 hour battery life so i'll have to test that out, almost broke the clip off bending it so it'll fit on my top, so i'll fix it with hot snot, the included earphones sound like utter shite, and are really boomy and sound hollow, with no real bass, mids, or highs, and are the worst ones i've heard in a long time, so those were replaced with my senfer UE's and had to get some cable ties as i can't find a 30cm MMCX audio cable, it's also neat as the battery status shows up on CM13

There are different listings depending on what tip you want, I use the bc2.
You just get the soldering iron though, you need to power it

I use a 65w 18.5v HP laptop psu with http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-25mm-screw-terminal-dc-power-plug-n82kt
on the end. Any laptop psu should work, you can probably get ones with a 2.5mm end already on, I had a lite-on one that did, the iron can take upto 24v so there is plenty of choice.
The higher the voltage the faster the iron will heat.

I used pic related to make the holes, nothing high tech just a swiss army knife with the blade that cuts as you twist it.
Capacitors come from whatever scrap pc parts you have lying around, I have used ones from routers and graphics cards.
Aim for around 200uf, lower for less bass higher for more. The stripe on the capacitor goes towards the USB end of the sound card.

Its easier to get a normal plug in soldering iron though, so you don't need to buy extra stuff.

got some mail today - redmeme note 3 pro and a bunch of RCA <--> 3.5mm cables.

the redmi is quite nice. didn't expect it to be so large. coming from 1st gen moto g it's gonna take some time getting used to.
vendor installed a genuine global rom which updated itself to MIUI8 beta OTA. they also applied a screen cover, backwards.
some issues i have is that it takes forever to charge, almost the same speed it drains. it's most likely my charger is just 1300 mAh but still. it also has a problem recognizing my chink 3.5mm cables which is annoying.

Markings on my 64gb Shark which I bought on the 29th of March (around the time cakepoints were still a thing) no issues here either.

Could be that >>56291353 is from a bad batch or that MIXZA started printing the 128gb shark on lower quality cards
