With pic related specs, I'm going to do the following to get my slow 2010 device faster:
>get hdd caddy which replaces dvd drive with 2.5" slot
>install 250GB EVO SSD
>do fresh install of W7
>make sure to install OS on SSD
OR
>replace HDD with SSD- therefore keeping my lightly used dvd drive, although I use it probably once a year for ripping an odd CD or two
>do fresh install of W7 on SSD
Currently looking into (all on Newegg):
Average Caddy: ~$20 CAD
Samsung EVO 120GB: ~$80 CAD
Any suggestions on which is more cost effective / a better overall option / any tips in general?
