Do you know what?
FUCK THIS SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
FUck ubuntu
I have Samsung 305u with 4gb ram and AMD APU E-350.
I was using ubuntu 15.04 over a year. I had full comfy system, it was not perfect, but it was comfy.
For some dumb reason I decided that I have free sunday so I will install ubuntu 16.04.
Works slower, some dumb errors like
When I want to connect to the wifi network using this toolbox in the right corner I have to type password in 15-20s max after pussing button with wifi name then connection is closed and I have to type password in Edit connections. Its small bug but probably annoying as fuck for new users.
but its not the worst part
I had windows 7 on hdd, I was using only ubuntu for last 16month so I decided to wipe win7 that had 60% of hdd.
Now after installing ubuntu I had this shitty lock, unable to connect while trying to do sudo apt-get update.
After reboot and sudo apt-get update & upgrade I was trying to install other soft.
but there was error and it said in termianl that I have to run
sudo dpkg --configure -a 16.04
after that nothing is working, it says there are graphic drivers but screen is 1024x768 and I cant change it.
ubuntu cant find any network devices ie. wifi or lan.
It cant find any usb device like pendrive.
Fuck this shit. I have some shit to do and I am wasting my time reinstalling this piece of fucking flying shit.
wtf
wtffffffffffffffffF?

Why do you refer to yourself in 3rd person OP?
did you install 16.04 on top of 15.04 or did you do a fresh install? if you did the former, you deserved it.
>>55978047
i never understood that
don't they offer some seemless update?
>>55978063

I was posting in angry mode is it does not make full sens.
After fresh install network devices were visible.
I could connect to wifi, but I had to use edit connections to save password, because this tray wifi connection was closing connection wift network before I could type password and click accept.
but later I was doing basic after install shit like
sudo apt-get update, sudo apt-get upgrade
I could not install anything because terminal said that I have to run
sudo dpkg --configure -a
first and after that nothing is working
tray said no network devices available
ifpconfig shows only loopback and /etc/network/ shows only loopback
After fresh install I had lm-sensors installed and now it only showsacpitz-virtual-0 and other disapeared
Its looks like after sudo dpkg --confgure -a all driver for everything are kill/destoryed or whatever.
>>55978089
so you format / every 6-48 months?
>>55978047
Fresh install
I wiped whole hdd before install.

#ubuntu@freenode
Try Mint and Manjaro, I like both more than Ubuntu these days stability-wise.
>>55977656
Install gentoo
>>55978164
?
>>55978134
Just use lts releases dumbfuck
I upgraded a system from 13.10->14.04->16.04 and another from 12.04 to 14.04 without problems
You should have run dpkg-reconfigure from a TTY not a graphical terminal emulator
>>55977656
I also have a relatively old laptop and I run the newest Ubuntu on it. I have no these problems.
Maybe you are the problem.
