Dock icons have an alternate folder mode when the icon is swiped upwards, with a couple related apps (web apps in the Firefox folder, chat apps in the mail folder etc)

One of the cool features of nova. One thing I'd still love to have with nova is a top/bottom layout in portrait that rotates into a left/right layout in landscape.

Pretty happy with this. I like to keep the bottom row clear to make it look clean. Ditto for the second page and that's it for layouts. On Android I just used a single screen via action launcher.

Also, removing that shitty screen to the left in iOS10 and using widgets instead is much better.

The theme pack didn't include airmail, but all the ones with those weird borders are actually folders. With the tweak swipyfolders, you can press the icon to open the first app, or hold/swipe it to open up the folder that it's in

Both. Nova launcher is only good for customizing, well, your launcher. If you want to do almost anything else without destroying the security of your phone (in the case of downloading a new lock screen) your only other option is rooting.
