I'm quite happy on my 4s, I like the small screen. I stayed on IOS 7+JB and its a great phone I've had at least 4 years now.

I bought a S7, but hated android and touchwizz so I returned it.

I'm waiting to see what the 7 is like, and I might upgrade then.

I'm only just starting to find apps that aren't compatible with IOS 7, but nothing I use so far.

A couple of months (?) until Apple either releases an iPhone SE update or I buy the current one.

Currently using an iPhone 5 since its release:

-faulty battery, (manufactured with it) didn't return phone because I didn't want them to update my phone to a non-jailbreakble OS (late 2015)

-faulty screen, it's an aftermarket one since Ithe screen decided to shatter itself after the 1000th drop (yep really I drop my phone at least once a day)

-non-working vibration mechanism, the phone went really hot in a train ride then when I went to check if the switch was in "silence" mode it didn't work

-faulty home button, sometimes it double presses

-scratches everywhere on the edges

-dust under camera lense, I constantly have 5 blurry black spots on every photo I take

-faulty headphone jack

-faulty lightning connector


I'm putting up with all this because I'm too accustomed to the snappiness of the OS

I'm not sure. Depends on how buggy iOS 10 turns out by the time its out of beta. Its depressing how bad iOS has been as of late. I feel like my 2013 Moto X was the pinnacle of smartphones and I'll never own a device that matches it

When its performance begins to frustrate me, however, I may upgrade to the iphone 7 if there is a significant design improvement. I'll basically be paying $450 or so to upgrade.

Personally, I'd much like to be able to use the same phone for about 5yrs, like I can with a computer, but my Nexus 4 turned to shit after about 2yrs, and my old iPhone 4s my mom uses is worse, if anything.
