I got rid of the flash on mine since it's annoying when using it as a work light. If you want to do it, you need to unscrew the top , and then remove the board at the bottom of that. This can be done by finding the hole on the side and praying up. Once you do that, just grab a pencil and draw lines over all the resistors, and put it back together.

This causes the lifht to erase it's memory after it is powered off for a few seconds, so it goes back to the brightest setting. You can still use the other modes if you do half presses or power it on and off quickly.

In theory, there is only one resistor to draw a line over, but I didn't remember which one it was, so I just drew it over all of them. Also, the board design in these isn't too consistent.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the second gen. They have two completely different chipsets and are pretty much two entirely different tablets. Second gen doesn't have a sd card slot but is better in pretty much every way. Neither of them have a digitizer for handwriting though. Maybe you should look into a cube i7, cube iwork 11, or chuwi hi12.

Not really. I tried WoW once. It absolutely obliterated my battery and I had to play on super low settings. It was playable though. The tablet does get super hot (it's metal so I mean like it will burn you) if you attempt to run the CPU at full power and charge it at the same time for extended periods. I do not recommend ANY atom tablet for games a smartphone can't run.
