I remember when I AHD was new and it seemed to be headed in the right direction to be a "modern" version of HDB. Years have passed but the site has not even come close to accomplishing that. PTP and HDB are way ahead of the competition and even HD-T has more appeal than AHD (chill rules, no hit n runs, good retention, easy to seed).
People will keep claiming that "AHD is the best community around" but that's just not true and even if it were it wouldn't make the site worth using unless you're just starting out or you are happy to settle for the medium-tier shit.
