I need some help /g/ with Radeon Settings; I'm getting a 'The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)'

Here is what I have done already;

Hey guys,

Can someone recommend me a good modular PSU?
500W should be enough, but 750W would be nice.
I'd like to keep it low priced.

Also, can someone tell me what a good 2TB HDD is? I'm going to be buying them used and I just wanted to know whether I should opt for WD or Seagate and what series.

Is there an adapter for this SSD?

not really

I've been using roughly 20-25 gigs of a 64gb msd on my Moto G from 2013 that specifies 32gb. I jjst put a bit of music on it and a few vids.

The phone still works as my backup with a 32gb card in it, and the 64gb micro sd works perfectly with my HTC 10.

Sometimes. I hear the current models are out of date but when the next gen comes out it might be worth it. Mac tends to be the most idiot proof if you don't mind a little less control overall, which most people don't. See what else is on the market too, don't just go brand.

Regular printers are garbage. Try looking for ones with laser printer. Printer technology is stuck in 19th century. Expect paper jams, ink issues, mechanical failures, etc. Scanner is, well scanner. You could simply take a picture of your stuff with high res camera from your $300+ phone, and it'd work roughly same.

>>55767490
What connections does it have? RCA?
>>
>>55767541
If you plan on printing a shitton go with a laser printer, whatever little extra you pay in the beginning you will make back 10 fold. Try to find something that has cheap drum replacements on ebay. A flat scanner is nice because then you can scan odd objects like id if you need to. Brother is a decent brand

For college I'd recommend a "2 in 1" laptop. While it looks like a meme, it will help you take down notes/etc properly.

Start with ebay/amazon warehouse and hunt deals. Main priority with college laptop should be battery time. So you might need to look for one with long battery.

I haven't used a laptop in years, but here's what I think might be good for the price.

/g/ should I do a free IT support boot camp for 9 weeks or do a $12k Java/.NET one for 14 weeks. They both offer career placement and the paid one has a money back guarantee. Can't afford college and only make 11 bucks an hour
>>
>>55767986
The ability to play 1080/720 depends on both CPU/GPU.

In laptop's case, the CPU, mainly. Laptop CPU usually come with internal gpu (iGPU). Its usually strong enough if you have a modern laptop.

T400 has Core2Duo that thing's ancient in CPU evolution. So it will have weak cpu power and weak iGPU power.

Look for a laptop with good iGPU if you want strong 1080 video playback.

Note, 1080p video on laptops are meme. Due to how small the screens are, the difference between 1080 and 720 visually are negligible. However because of the cpu in laptop are small and weak, the difference in computation requirement is massive.
>>
>>55768205
If they both offer placement, then do the first one and see how it works. If you get good offer, then its well worth it. the 12k for Java/.NET looks like a scam.

For the first one, if you have the aptitude for technology, then you'll get more chances to learn/advance. Second one might waste your money entirely.

Did you know MFAA can be enabled on cards older than 9xx series? It's a bug with 358.91, and nVIDIA doesn't want you to know. The option to enable it appears and disappears at random

Yes, more so than the normal T420.
T420s is a tradeoff, it has a smaller battery and gets warmer than its bigger brothers. On the other hand, it is supposedly (I have no personal experience here, but all sources claim better compatibility with T420s for this) easier to get a good screen to work with the T420s than it is with the T420.

I'm decently inexperienced with cracking. If it's something that I do, I don't know how to do it, and if it's supposed to be something that can be accomplished using a program, I don't know which program I could safely do it with.
If you have a recommended guide for either of those ways, I could try to crack it.

You only mix them when you are on a budget.

Get the outsanding tier, the GPU makes it worth it.

Also get the EVGA G1 over the seasonic, and buy a 850 EVO instead the sandisk Logicalincrements reccomends.

You might want to increase your budget to $1100 so you can get a CPU that can be overclocked, or if you dont are interested on that keep the locked CPU and the 212 EVO.

If the internet works by connecting computers, then why does every person need to pay an internet provider? Why can't you just have one person paying for an unlimited subscription and then have the rest of your town connecting to that guy with a network of routers and ethernet cables?

Because usually it'll connect using my ISP when its empty but i'm assuming it is using the dns i provided when i checked DNSCrypt and gave those credentials.

Sorry for the confusion, I'm meaning to end with an external HDD. If I buy an internal, it would be to put it in an enclosure.

>>55771187
no. worry about it when it reaches 80C under load.

those aren't great idle temps, but it's not really cause for concern. clean dust out regularly.
>>
>>55771259
I think it's more the fact that I have no air conditioning and it's currently 85 degrees farenheit in my room
>>
>>55771187
no those temps are fine, at least i think they are, on my computer they would be acceptable temps. Some cpus have different tolerances, i think if that cpu is an intel (relatively recent, meaning made in the past 10 years or so i guess) it's a good temp.

Is there a screen (touch not neccessary) that can easily connect to the rpi 3 B and is relatively cheap? I want something that just worksâ„¢. any recommendations?
>>
>>55771171
Definitely get the wired connection. Are you in the US? AFAIK, there is not a single satellite provider who does not have a hard monthly data cap, you will be a slave to the "free hours" at night when you have unlimited use. Satellite might be marginally faster bandwidth-wise if you pay out the ass ($100+/month) but the ping is going to increase page load times and make multiplayer games worthless. my neighbor has satellite and his ping never drops below 750ms.
>>
>>55771312
Not apu but CPU then, if you are using the stock cooler then the temperatures are normal for it.

AMD stock cooler is lame of how inefficient it is.

Haven't been able to find a straight answer to this that hasn't just left me with more questions. On board sound card, individual sound card, Or DAC? >>
>>55771688
Onboard sound card. That's been the answer for 5 years at least. The only reason to get a sound card is if you hear a hissing noise from system electrical noise. Same thing goes for a DAC. Chances are your headphones couldn't benefit from anything more, and they probably don't have enough resistance to even need an amp. Don't worry about it.

to learn php you really can't go wrong but here's some lists (I don't do php, and neither should you)

http://www.fromdev.com/2013/09/best-php-books.html

o'reilly books are generally pretty good

for learning how php works (and as a result, other languages/compilers and general programming) you can't go wrong with: "Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs" (it's free!) but I'm almost certain that isn't what you want

Trying to update Windows 8 to 8.1 on my parents laptop and the stupid piece of shit won't work.

At first it kept claiming I wasn't an administrator.

Then I finally gave up and let Microsoft do it for me, they got me to a point where it was downloading. They left me and I figured all was finally good until I got a 0x80004005 error message and a failure to install. It's also back to telling me I'm not an admin again.

Worst yet a popup keeps showing up telling me to restart to finish installing but it never fucking restarts. It just goes away when I tell it to restart now. And restarting doesn't do anything to help me.

Fuck /g/ what am I doing? I'm generally able to fix this kind of stuff but I'm really stumped.

Daz Loader but MSToolkit activates Office aswell.

Dont download it from any place other than Mydigitallife forums.

>>
>>55773165
They'll accept anything for activation as long as it matches the version of you disk (home premium, pro, etc).

As far as download the disk goes, you'll just have to try it. It's weird that they're more restrictive with that part, but whatever
>>
>>55773246
so as long as I feed them my OEM key on the site they will allow me to download an ISO to put on installation media?
>>
>>55773310
See it depend on what you mean by OEM. If a single license was bought for that computer, as if it was a custom build, then yes. If dell, hp etc made it then the code will probably not work for a download. But there are other ways of getting the disk if that doesn't work out. The main thing is being able to reactivate the install when you're done
>>
>>55773246
anyway, thanks for the advice anon, I think this will work

yeah, as long as they let me reactivate the OEM licence I'm fine. I assume this can be done.

It's stupid how they don't let you obtain an ISO for an OEM licence yet they let you reactivate it.

From the things I've read, it seems like I will only be able to make the site look nice but basically not function at all.

My goal is to make good looking and fully working websites for clients. Much of the site functionality will be focused on presentation more than functions though.
