Is there an adapter for this SSD?
mz-ntd1280/000

I need it to become an mSATA so that I can connect it to my Maximus Gene V mPCIe combo thing.

I'm so confused by all these specifications and shit. I found this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/M-2-NGFF-SSD-to-Mini-PCI-E-mSATA-Adapter-Card-Replacement-Converter-Wholesale-/311426925853?hash=item48827dc51d:g:XywAAOSwUV9WpyJR

But when I read this part:
>About Mini PCIe SSD interface standard:

I become dizzy and want to puke.

I'm trying to get a helicopter I won on a fair years ago to work.
I'm using an arduino nano with an L293D for the rear engine and an L298 for the 2 main engines. Remote control will be added later.

However, I'm unable to get it to lift itself of the ground.
What could be the cause of this?

Some info:
When measured, a single main engine puls 1.18 amps which slowly decreases over time, and 2 running at the same time is about an amp. The L298 is able to supply up to 2 amps, so that shouldn't be the problem.
I'm unable to find any datasheets about the engines or the helicopter itself though, so I'm not even sure how much current or voltage the engine needs.

Could the battery be the cause? Or are my typical breadboard wires too thin?
Something else I'm totally missing?

Some weird shit happens on my keyboard depending on it's orientation. When it's cable isn't placed under the keyboard and is far away from the system unit it would sometimes input the key twice when you press the key only once like outputting "oo" instead of "o". And when it is placed on a non-flat surface, the keys will most of the times not work. If it is put on a non-flat surface long enough, weirder shit happens, like it would try to shut down my pc, or open up the last program that has been recently opened. At first, I thought this is a problem with the keyboard hardware but then when I tried to plug it on my laptop, it would work perfectly fine with no problems whatsoever, so it can't be the keyboard. Now I have no clue what is causing this to happen.

How to back up a few folders properly to a 16GB USB stick while using Linux? From what I understand the files will corrode over time if I move them back and forth from the USB to my main storage and I may start losing my data? Just copying seems to be especially dangerous when copying from the USB to a clean OS install, replacing my previous files with potentially corrupted ones.

Looking for the simplest possible solution. A program to do the job is okay, but I haven't heard of one. I'm using Pcmanfm. The ideal solution would be something like a glorified copy/paste with md5 checking to ensure the correct data is being delivered/retrieved.

There are two TP-LINK TL-WR1043 routers. One is the old white one (V1), and a newer black one (V2).

They worked fine separately, used the old one at home, and the newer one in another city. Now I don't need both of them, so I decided to factory reset the V2 and I set up to use that at home. I configured it by entering the router IP address in a browser through a PC connected from LAN3 port (other PCs are connected to LAN1-2).

Everything seemed to working fine, but when I'm shutting down the PC what is connected into the LAN3 slot, the WLAN stops working.

Any hint on this? Or should I put back the old one and file the newer one to the X-Files? :(

Figured out finally!

The PC was plugged in to the same surge protector strip as the router. I tried with a table lamp to the same strip, even if that was on, the WLAN was fine, when everything else was off expect the router, WLAN gone nuts.

Changed the power strip, and now the newer router works fine regardless of other stuff powered on. Probably the TL-WR1043 V2 is more sensitive to the AC power. And the surge protector extension is an older one with aging mechanism (although around 3 years old, I assumed it was fine)

Hopefully someone here can help me. I've got a Crucial MX200 512GB SSD and I had a power outage a couple nights ago. After the power outage, the SSD no longer appears in BIOS. I've got it hooked up to my laptop now via an external hard drive adapter and it doesn't show in the bios or windows explorer but it shows up in device manager and disk management. Disk management shows it as inactive and won't let me partition the drive though.

I've tried the power-cycling method Crucial suggests numerous times, as well as updating the firmware on the drive (it also shows up in Crucial's software and lets me upgrade firmware on it) and clean erasing it.

Anyone have any other things I should try or will I just have to RMA this thing? Not concerned about data loss but I'd like to get this working. Pic related is what it shows in Crucial's software.

My computer i made myself 2 years ago for games stopped working recently. i was playing a game and then suddenly the display went black. Whenever i turned it on it would start up but the gpu fans would stop running a few seconds later so i assumed it was the gpu and went to replace it. i got an R9280 as a replacement and it just won't turn on at all. Now i think it's one of three things. >mobo is dead
But everything else looks like it turns on including my cpu fan (Hyper 212 evo)

I can hear scratching sounds twice whenever i turn on my PC so maybe that's it.

Tempted to upgrade my monitor, bought this monitor with my desktop that I built about 5 years ago (2011 or so). 21.5 inch, literally the cheapest branded one I could find (80 quid if I recall, Samsung brand).

Anyway, it's got a couple of dead pixels, has no removable stand (tempted to get something that mounts to a wall so I can clear up desk space), is relatively small, and is only 1080p.

I'm wondering if I was to splash out and get a 4k monitor, I'm not sure how my PC could handle it (have upgraded the CPU, GPU, upgraded so an SSD, etc., all since then, but still the same motherboard so I'll struggle to get any more life out of it if I want to upgrade my CPU any further).

What does gaming on a 4k monitor at 1080p look like? I assume on two similar sized monitors, one being 1080p, the other being 4k, a 1080p game would look fairly similar, right?

I mean it's a public secret nowdays I understand if they stop upgrading drivers to mach newer games in a year and stop upgrading features in a couple of years but a card breaking driver should lead to some class action from america and bruxelles going ape shit from yurop

It won't run fanless on the stock voltage because it creates too much heat, and I'm wondering if I can run it at a significally lower clock, undervolted, but the BIOS is voltage locked.

I built a pc in May and encountered a ton of bsdo's. After replacing the hard drive/ssd for like the third time, the bsdo's stopped...until this morning. Now they are back.

So I tested virtually all of the components via ultimate boot cd, and everything tested positive. All that im left with now is the psu.

Do these voltages look normal? I also took some screen shots of HWMonitor, which I will upload in just a second.

Idk if you can accuratly tell if a psu is bad based on voltages from speedfan but I figured it is worth a shot, in case something looks totally off to you guys.

Also, I checked the cables on my mobo, and the 20/24 cable looked slightly out of line, so I unplugged and re-plugged it in. (Hopefully that was the problem)

After months of shilling I decided to try mpv. I'm on Windows and I can't figure out why the volume is so low (except for the louder moments which are as loud as earrapes) on almost every video, even with the master volume at 100. Also I can't figure out where the configuration file is or should be. There's nothing about it in the docs. Can't believe people claim this is the best video player around.

My computer is only about 9 months old.

Recently (a week or 2?) if my computer has been off for a while, when I turn it back on, it doesn't get past the bios screen. If I turn the power off, then turn it back on, it loads no prob.

This happens literally EVERY time I turn my computer on.. (every other time technically).

What could be causing this? My CPU isn't even overclocked or overvoltage-ed.

Typically just means a file it tried to write to was in use. This is typically some DLL it installed a new version of, or similar. Instead it wrote it to a different named file and added it to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\PendingRenameOperations. If you like you can check what's pending in there with regedit. When you reboot, the file on each odd numbered line in there will be moved to what the next line says. If the next line is blank, it deletes the file.

You might find that you can just manually do what that registry key says. (i.e. the files are no longer in use now) If you do that, you can *probably* go ahead and use what you installed without rebooting.

I figured it out. My mistake was assuming robocopy was competent. Apparently it doesn't properly handle NTFS junctions, and plenty of those exist in a Windows.old directory -- things like Users\Yourname\Documents => C:\Users\Yourname\Documents. It was following junctions and copying quite a bit of my profile dir at least one time, until the disk was full.

I did what I wanted properly using a 3rd party utility, FastCopy.

Files don't lose fidelity over time or with copying like analog recordings. This is 2016 and we aren't using VHS tapes anymore.

The dangers of copying through a USB stick are:

- Damaged file permissions. This does not affect the file data, just whether it was readable, writable, executable, and by whom. Copying it through a FAT or NTFS filesystem even once will lose the permissions. This is because Windows filesystems don't support Linux permission bits. If you care about your files' permissions, either put them in a tar file on the USB stick, or format your USB stick to ext4.

- Files over 4 GB will be truncated to 4 GB if copied to a FAT32 formatted disk. This is a limit of FAT32. Either put it into an archive you can split into parts, or format your USB stick to a more competent filesystem like NTFS or ext4.

- Losing files that have characters in their names that Windows doesn't like, such as >, : or |. Moving files with weird characters in their names from one Linux system to another through a FAT or NTFS filesystem should work fine. But if Windows touches it while it has these files on it, it might not be happy.

- Corrupted file data from not ejecting the disk properly before removing it, or simply from actual data corruption on the disk. Always umount and wait a few seconds after it returns to the prompt before you yank. On Windows, always safe-remove. On Mac, always eject. You can also use MD5 or SHA sums to verify that your files are intact if you're paranoid. If you put them in a 7zip or other good archive format, this will be done for you. Otherwise you can store a hash-list file on the stick along with the files. Mostly you can skip this and just assume your USB stick will keep your files reliably if you always eject it properly.

And of course keep decent backups. USB sticks are good, but they aren't perfect. If you have a cheap or defective one, it could die any time. Or of course you might send it through the wash in a pocket.

I got a prebuilt computer with Windows 10 Pro on it. I started getting the "Your license will expire" message about a month ago, and put off asking the guy who built it about it until last week. He still hasn't gotten back to me, and I'm getting kinda desperate.

The license expires tomorrow. Is it gonna immediately wipe everything? If not, is fixing this just a matter of buying a new Pro product key from Microsoft? I'd really rather not spend $200 to find out that's not what I needed to do at all.
>>
>>55743507
You can buy a key without reinstalling. Or of course you can use KMSpico, again without reinstalling.

Or if there's a key you think should be good already in it, you can try the phone based activation thing. It will show you some numbers and you read them to a robot, then type in the numbers the robot reads back to you. That often works to activate machines that for whatever reason failed to activate online. Usually it's that the OEM activated it before making some hardware change or whatever.

A few months ago I went through the same deal on a brand new computer from Dell. I thought I'd have to call them and probably ship it back. But I gave MS's phone activation a shot and it activated fine.

What OS should I install on an abysmal netbook, and what steps should I take to minimize load? Attempting to get extra performance out of the hardware would be like trying to get blood from a stone. Please don't ask for stats, it takes forever to boot up. Currently has Windows 7.

I mostly want to to watch chinese girl cartoons in bed, but being able to play some of my shittiest 2d games would be nice. In that respect, is Windows 10 mobile anything more than a meme? Also is which penguin thing is the way to go to attempt playing my worst cross platform steam games? I heard SteamOS is not so good but I really know nothing.
