Discord is by far the best voice chat client I've ever used. Yes, pretty much all of it is true except there's a slight learning curve with the server and how you manage roles, nothing you really need if you're just using it with your friends. All they have to do now is add screen sharing and I will never even consider installing Skype ever again

They don't show their actually good open-source competitors though – mumble outclasses Discord easily.

Discord is better than Ventrilo, Teamspeak, and Skype but who the fuck uses Ventrilo or Teamspeak? Skype is good exclusively for talking to tech illiterate people who you could not possibly convince or teach to use something better, like your employer or mother.

Everyone would rip them apart since it's in writing all over their site that it's free w/o limitations.
