Android M came to my money model S5 (S5 Neo) and it's glorious. Stock ROM is still buttery smooth with no lag after 10 days without a reboot and heavy usage and battery life is awesome, over 6 hours screen on time with maximum auto brightness.

Sony's shit at marketing their phone line. It's a "will they drop it? Will they keep sinking cash in it for another year?" kinda situation.
Non existent marketing in the US, so fewer english language discussion on the topic.
Processor is junk and leads to overheating.
Camera lens is plastic and scratches too easily, leading to blurred pictures until it's replaced (and then it scratches again).
Shitty, unresponsive camera - why they fuck do they need a 20+++ MP sensor on a fucking tinsy winsy smartphone camera?
Build issues with spontaneously cracking glass etc.
Price not commensurate with the comparable competition (this is once again a problem with the new xperia x's, even more so than before).

Sony's in a bad state with their smartphone division; they just really have no clue. Last year was shit for them, and this year's X doesn't look like it's going to radically improve things unless they dramatically slash prices.

I've been using a redmi 3 pro for almost a month now, and it's a fantastic phone. But with the 720p screen, I get horrible headaches with extended use, something that rarely happened on my Nexus 5.

Considering gifting it to my mother who rarely uses her old S3, and buying another 200aud phone. Since I don't want to sacrifice battery life and want a 1080p screen, I've been eyeing the k6000 pro. I don't want less than 3gb ram because I multitask heavily.

What should I do?
Put up with the headaches, or buy a A$200 device like the k6000 pro instead?

I want to change my iPhone 4 because I'm having issues with RAM and the speakers are busted, what should I get?

I'm just looking for something that works well with good battery life, and doesn't go atomic. Visible screen is also good. Hardest thing I do to a phone is maybe play a PSP game but that is rare.


I had a Nexus 4 and its battery life was bad, but I knew that going in so I can't fault it. But it ran smooth and looked great.

Galaxy S5 used most of its ram being on, froze a lot as a result, got too hot, had too little storage, and generally just performed like shit in every category. Seriously the Nexus 4 is faster, so apparently specs mean nothing. Other S5 roasted itself due to bad battery.

LG G3 screen is dim to useless unless its on ultra suck battery mode and viewed at the right angel, battery life is shit, but it at least has 32gb and runs mostly smoothly though not as well as the Nexus 4.

I'm at a loss of what to do every damn phone wants to have a stupid high resolution and gimmic shit over smooth operation and battery. I'll give up the SD card slot if it means the damn thing will work.

Now, heres the story. We have Wifi on our Home router, like most routers, and this Wifi worked with all my Android devices (including the problem device) for the last few months.

A few weeks ago the Galaxy stopped being able to Update or Download apps from the Play Store. (Not entirely correct, it seems to still download some apps, however this takes upwards of 10-15 minutes just for a small (10-20mb app)

Following the usual troubleshooting, I have tried everything listed above.

3 other Android devices work without issue. I have factory reset my router again today. And yet it still doesnt work.

Im looking into buying a new phone next week and I was hoping you guys could give some input if you dont mind.

Location: sweden

Carrier: does not matter, I buy the phone cash and sweden doesnt have cuck companies forcing you too use a priceplan.

Features: The screen being 5+ inch (preferebly 5,5") is very important since Im planing on using the phone too learn python for android while at work. Also surf the web, chatting on skype and the usual stuff.

2 GB+ of ram, 3 is preferable.

My budget would land somewhere arund 250 dollars. I dont mind going up oo 280ish, but it has too be something extra for me too concider going all the way too 300.


All that being said, Im concidering getting my hands on a Lenovo Moto G since I am very interested in what they have too offer on the phone market. It is cheap and does what I want, but no physical store in sweden holds them so I cant pick one up and try out the feel.

Yes, I think that it will be sufficient for such uses. do note that they both have a Pro version with 3GB of RAM (and a fingerprint reader).
Another option is the Mi4c, which is 5" and is more powerful (SD808). however the battery is not nearly as good and the 808 could also throttle quite heavily as it's evident on the N5x.

Remember that with all Xiaomi devices, you need flash the global rom after you buy it to rid the usually malware'd shop-installed rom. You can usually ask the shop to do it for you and avoid the headache of doing it yourself. see my prev. message for good shops on Ali that do that.

Other anon, i've read so many battery reviews and benchmark of the OP3 and i have to say:
1. If a 399$ device skipps on the battery for dumb looks and a camera bump
2. If a 399$ device can't get me reliably trough a whole day
3. If a 399$ device can't be used to the fullest because of its lackluster battery
4. If the company tells me to carry a powerbank or chargers with me
Then the device is absolut trash. No matter how good the hardware and the rest is in general.
If a phone is not reliable, it's garbage.
Some might call me an autist for i care about battery life, but it's simple as that. Shit battery = shit phone.
