What are some text based websites that can teach me about computers (their components, how software works, what each piece of hardware is for, etc)?
I have trouble following along to what people are saying and thinking about what they said at the same time, so videos aren't very helpful for me.

Wikipedia and google are pretty text based.
>>
Textfiles.com is also pretty tech/text oriented...

Start reading books. Books > videos for learning. Videos can be a helpful tool but books are way better.

Too bad videos are not good for you, www.professormesser.com is great for the videos, but they also have texts. Get texts for CompTIA A+ and start from there.

books are also available on the internet

How about an ebook? A+ Guide to Hardware 6th Edition, I'm reading this one, though I already had some background knowledge before starting reading it, I learned how to build PCs watching an acquaintance some year ago but with this book I learned some new technical terms too.

Also in >>>/g/sqt just ask anything you don't know and you'll learn a lot, alternatively search video guides on YT like "how to build a pc" you'll learn literally a lot, I watched some to help myself build my new PC flawlessly last year.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
