Fuck, this really is much better than using just one monitor.
put one in portrait, you will never be able to live without it

for vhat purpose?

uhh good man, you're like 10 years late to this fad.
Nowadays big high dpi monitors are cheap, modern operating systems have good ways to manage side-by-side and even corner windows within a single screen, and dual monitor makes no sense.
have fun with your bezels and watching video on a small screen...

Text editing, music playing, anything that benefits from a lot of vertical real estate.

Vertical space is great when browsing webpages. Instead or seeing, say, 15 lines at a time, you'll be able to see a lot more, which makes for less scrolling.

lol really? It still has a bezel and it's 1080p... are you from /v/?

No. i just didn't feel the need for a 4K monitor yet, nor am i an ultra 1337 gamer/h4x0r looking for a monitor with godlike sharpness, nanosecond refresh times and an appearance of a Decepticon abortion, I just wanted something low profile and practical.

Look at 2.5k, 1440p, 34" 21:9, or at the very least 1900x1200.
George-Michael would be the kind of guy to get a second monitor right about now. Probably worked at a pizza chain for an entire summer instead of having fun just to be able to afford one.

what if neither of my monitors have a rotating stand?
