The best torrent client will officially start to ship Windows releases. It is not known whether the unofficial Qt version will merge with the official Windows version, which will probably be version 2.90

/g/, are you ready for a client that actually works on Windows, unlike qStalledmeme?
>>
>>51514806
Great news.
>>
>>51514806
But will it be great as it is in linux or it will be like mpv and GIMP?
>>
>>51514924
I know right?

RIP uBotnet
>>
>>51514935
The OSX version is better than the Linux version.
>>
>>51514806
/g/ normies will complain that the UI is too simple
>>
>>51514955
I think normies would prefer the simple UI.
>>
>>51514806
I don't know why but some trackers have banned it.
>>
>>51514988
None of my trackers have banned Transmission. What trackers have banned it?
>>
Best client ever.
>>
>>51514806
uBotnet and qStalltorrent aka qIOERRORtorrent literally BTFO

Transmission is the orignal and best client. Always will be.
>>
>>51514806
that's pretty gud news. but why the fuck is it hosted on sourceforge
>>
>>51514806
>http://sourceforge.net/projects/trqtw/files/Transmission-Qt/2.8x/
SOURCEFUCKINGFORGEEEEEEE
REEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>
>>51515522
Indeed
>>
>>51515522
Vuze was the best torrent client so far about to get replaced.
>>
>>51514935
MPV works fine on Windows
>>
>>51515522
>qStalltorrent

It's qStalledmeme
>>
>>51515685
So?
>>
Welp, only a question of time before this also turns into a heap of mooseshit.
>>
>>51516535
sourceforge installs malware/spyware
>>
>>51516656
If anything, this will speed up development.
>>
>>51516744
>sourceforge installs malware/spyware

Only if you allow it to when you download a package that bundles it. It's not like you will automatically get malware if you visit the site you fucking autist.
>>
>>51514806
That's fine, but I'll stick with deluge. :-p
>>
>hur dur qStalledmeme hurr dur Transmission best client torrent

No thanks, I'll stick with qBittorrent. It just works for me.
>>
>>51516960
Enjoy your stalled torrents and lost settings. I lost all my torrents when the power went out and had to load all 700+ again by hand because I used qBittorrent.
>>
>>51516983
Pity. Never happen to me. Like I said, it just works.
>>
>>51517028
It works...until it breaks.

qBittorrent is buggy shit.
>>
Just use Deluge
>>
>>51517075
and so its transmission qt
>>
>>51517650
Transmission qt hasn't failed me once. qStalledmeme has choked for me twice before I switched.
>>
>>51517743
It's funny you say that because Transmissionaryposition fucked me once by corrupting file names making the content unverifiable to the torrent.
>>
>Official windows binaries

RIP deluge
>>
>>51517813
>Transmissionaryposition fucked me once by corrupting file names

Sounds like something you fucked up on your own.
>>
>>51517844
I'm only switching if Shanaproject makes an add-on for transmission to automatically sort my Vietnamese slideshows.
>>
>>51515555
QUADS!!!!
>>
>>51514952
Osx is worse at everything by default
>>
>>51514806
if only it had RSS downloading and such..
>>
>qBittorrent
>"Download in sequential order"
This is the only reason I use qBittorrent. Can transmission do this or equivalent?
>>
>>51518148
You can always set download prio per file in the torrent fron low to medium to high
>>
>>51518159
Not him, but that's not the same thing.
>>
>>51518159
That's not really equivalent if I download a single movie. Usually I can start playing the movie at ~10% on qbittorrent if sequential download is set.

Actually I quite like transmission, maybe I will try it for my seedbox (currently rtorrent). I already use some of their cli utils. I only use qbittorrent occasionally when I don't want to bother with my seedbox.
>>
>>51518175
its close enough
>>51518198
ah well never takes more than an hour to download anythint anyway.. have a fap while you wait
>>
>>51514952
this. linux one might as well be the web version.
>>
>>51518206
>ah well never takes more than an hour to download anythint anyway.. have a fap while you wait
>an hour to download
Well waiting for 5 minutes to start watching a decent rip (ie. not YIFY) or waiting an hour makes a difference.
>>
>>51518235
>skipped the have a fap part

>not downloading in advance regardless
>be the first downloader and thus seeder
>seeding
>my sides are in orbit around ur mum
>>
>>51518245
>implying I can't download in advance with qBittorrent if I want to
You are entirely missing the point
>>
>>51518262
No, the northern point is your mums head m8

As bald as an american eagle
>>
somebody post a windows screenshot!!!
>>
libtorrent performs too well to settle for something lesser.
>>
I'd use qB but it's fucking ugly on OS X
>>
I'll immediately switch to transmission if they add sequential download.
>>
>>51514806
>sourceforge
>>
Unless there's a way to make this standalone I'm not interested.
>>
Wait

WHAT TRANSMISSION QT HAVE I BEEN USING IF NOT THE **OFFICIAL** WINDOWS VERSIOn
>>
>>51520136
DELETE THIS
>>
>>51518105
>i'm a huge biased faggot and i haven't seen sunlight in several months
>>
Why does the client look so garbage though. If it looked anything like any other decent client I'd consider it.
>>
>>51514806
>client that actually works on Windows
My utorrent works very well.
>>
Wow this client is bare as fuck.
>>
>>51521037
the devs only care about the mac version
>>
>>51521502
Na I've seen the mac version, briefly anyway, looked the same, tiny and bare.
>>
rTorrent > Deluge > Transmission > qBittorrent > *
>>
>>51514806
qBittorrent is better.
>>
>>51521536
>Deluge >
Opinion discarded.
>>
>>51521520
It has labels
>>
>>51521725
Ok... Is that new? I thought every client had labels?
>>
>>51521732
No, OSX is the only that has it and for a long time

See: https://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/2175
>>
>>51521736
So what you're telling me is transmission is actually BEHIND all the other clients on windows right now?
>>
why would I use it over deluge or qbit

I tried it years ago and it crashed when my torrents approached about 50
>>
>>51521059
Enjoy your proprietary, adware, spyware, mineware botnet.
>>
>>51518075
>>>/b/
>>
>>51514806
That's.. no good
>>
>waahh it's mainstrem now

some people, jesus christ
>>
>>51514935

GIMP sucks regardless of OS.
>>
>>51517849
>Sounds like something you fucked up on your own.

Same could be the case with you and qBittorrent. ;)
>>
>>51518971
libtorrent is shit
>>
With that being said, I'm going to give Transmission a try, if it werks, then I'm going to thank Deluge for all the memories
>>
>>51525006
It's better than Deluge.
>>
>>51514944
>RIP uBotnet
>on BotnetOS
>>
>>51514806
>2.84.6 released
Why cannot I update my older version then? Is it "released" released? Released later?
>>
Great news I have been needing an alternative to jewtorrent 2.2.1 but deluge doesn't like my chinese cartoons for some reason and qbittorrent causes eyecancer after prolonged exposure
>>
qBit is already better than both Deluge and Transmission, although transmission did have higher upload speeds in my computer.
>>
>>51514988
>>51515012
Transmission doesn't strictly follow the protocol a 100%.
I know of at least two trackers that have blocked one or more versions of Transmission.
>>
>>51515685
Why aren't they on http://www.fosshub.com/ ?
>>
>>51527877
>Why cannot I update my older version then? Is it "released" released? Released later?

This is the windows-only, unofficial port.
>>
>>51529304
Oh, alright then.

I will wait for the macfag port.
