I'm very relieved to know that this kind of position exists, because I dread sitting at a desk all day. It's the reason I left computer science, despite enjoying programming.

I think all strongman events have an overhead, deadlift, yoke, carry and loading event. So the overhead carry is their carry event as opposed to a farmers walk. I think. It actually sounds kind of fun desu, and it'll be really easy to actually train with my equipment.

That's the hard part for me. A LOT of engineering jobs are out in the sticks, because that's where manufacturing is.

I hadn't considered that aspect of engineering, but it makes sense. Also, it's definitely an acquired taste, their first album. It gets more melodious as it goes on, but it also gets weirder.

What would happen if someone with extraordinarily long arms entered a powerlifting competition, kind of like pic related. They end up with:

Squat: 20kg
Bench Press: 20kg
Deadlift: 1200kg

They lock out, push their hips forward a bit- the bar just happens to lay on the floor due to their anyhtopometry.

I went for some cheapish ones. Work well enough, though the thinner ones are dissolving a bit. Layers are getting separated. I think my previous gym used Rogue bands, and they held up pretty good though I saw some had snapped (likely from abuse).

Consider buying the more expensive ones of the strength you'll be using the most imho.

It's very individual. On occasion, you'll run into a pit bull that just fucking snaps around the time it reaches sexual maturity. Those ones are complete assholes, and you basically can't have them around people or other animals at all, because they get really violent. Some are also irresponsibly bred and trained, which is obviously going to cause problems regardless of breed.

The rest of them are sweet, though (depending on training, of course). A good pit bull is very gentle, especially with kids.

I have no idea what the proportion is, but it's apparently enough to give the breed a bad name.

I'm glad we have this thread. I've had water poop the past day and a half. And tonight when I went in to workout I just felt weak as all hell. I couldn't add 20 to my bench, much less even do what I did Tuesday night. I was making progress and felt good. Go in tonight and couldn't do anything hardly. I lifted for about three years straight before taking a break for about a year. Got back into it, working consistently for 3 months and getting back close to former stats before I got hit with Lyme and Lyme Carditis (where the bacteria makes its way to the heart and nearly kills you.)

I've been on IV antibiotics through a PICC line for the last month, and you can't do shit with a PICC line in. I even had to quit my job. Fatigue varies but physical activity is rough. I can walk about a half mile before I'm exhausted and out of breath. Also, getting up from a sitting position usually causes imtemse dizziness.

I know it's going to be a very long recovery process, so I'm just trying to gauge if anyone else has had similar experiences.
