I ate dinner. Then I stumbled upon a festival with tons of food stalls, and debated eating something there. When will the opportunity arise to try these foods again?

I looked at everything there, and focused on the fact that I had just eaten and that nothing at this festival would really be a significant culinary experience.

I'm nervous about tomorrow. I'm lifting at the same time I'm cutting, so if I ever increase my lifts (which I did this week), the scale just says I didn't lose much, or possibly even gained weight.

So a lot of points to talk about, but the main point should be that just living in a city like this, where you walk at least three miles everyday and food is of a much higher quality in much smaller portions, has helped out my weight immensely. Since I'm so big and losing weight would be a life-changing thing, I'm thinking of moving to a big city. I have the finances and education/Jon experience to go through with it.

I mean, in my personal experience nobody has said anything negative to me except a few punk teenagers. Some people commented on my weight, but it isn't malicious or shaming, it's just a different attitude toward weight.

Fat people in general are fairly rare where I am. There is only one high school student in the school of 700 that is visibly overweight. She doesn't appear to get picked on that I've seen.

That being said, I've gotten several complements on weight loss.

I'm not sure the general attitude, but I've never seen a morbidly obese person in my city at all.

New to fit/ want to get a routine going, 6ft 120kg, started looking online about work out routines and read the stickies about cutting etc,

thoughts on this?

20 body weight squats.
10 push ups.
10 minutes of Jump rope
10 dumbbell rows
15 second plank.
30 jumping Jacks.
Repeat for e.g. rounds.

Is there anything i should add or remove? i do have an excercise bike that isnt used but i dont know if its actually a useful device for losing weight, Thoughts?

I've asked this before, but 8 months cutting and its clear I need to lift more but anyone got any suggestions for a routine?

I'm stuck deciding if I go for a three day a week split and cardio every other day because I really want to lose my belly fat, or if I just go for a five or six day program and just concentrate on my lifts.

Im not sure if anyone told you this anon, but you're not going to gain muscle while cutting, you will only lose muscle.

the only way to gain muscle while cutting is riods, focus cardio as your exercise, until you've lost that fat, then start bulking.

If you wanted, you could bulk now, and you would gain muscle, but it would be hidden under all that fat, and you'd have to cut. better to be skinny, so you have a decent body when you start lifting, it really helps with motivation.

I've come into this thread a couple times and this is how the discussion goes every time.

After all this time I've concluded that I can't work out what I'm doing wrong. My calorie counting isn't perfect but shouldn't be off by more than 100ish a day. I do cheat sometimes but its 500 or rarely 1000 extra calories. With a TDEE of 2100ish, at worst thats a deficit of 2000 calories a week, but likely more like 3000, which should be around 1lb per week, but thats not what I'm getting.

I want to try the fast to see what comes of it. Going 3-4000 calories lower per week should be easy to track, and should give an extra 1lb per week avg. If I wind up with exactly that then it does add up, and my TDEE is fucked. If that's the case, uh, I'm not really sure what to do with that information. Keep fasting?

I find weighing myself every day is fun, just don't take it too seriously (not every weigh-in is important- Im only recording on sundays). Sure, I see weight fluctuate, but I'm constantly seeing numbers I have not seen before as I creep lower and lower. I realize long term discipline is how you lose weight, but having some motivation is nice too. Mine feel fucking rock solid after only a month of lifting, I used to be able to just push them into collapsing with a finger, now I can actually flex them. I think it's more of an issue of sustainability. Develop good habits and a way of life and you are more likely to lose the weight and keep it off for your whole life. If I have to take a massive shit I love getting a before and after measurement on it. The idea I can drop 2 pounds just by shitting it out kinda makes weight loss amusing.

I did not succeed for two weeks like Penn did, however I did learn what being hungry feels like.

It was like day 3 I would not put another fucking potato in my god damn mouth unless my body was telling me it was absolutely nessecary.

I ended up only lasting 5 days but it taught me what being hungry really felt like and that lead to having more success with a normal diet, I've lost 30 pounds.

I am overweight but not obese, im 6'3 at 255-260lbs

I just noticed I got some frontal stretch marks the other week, do these go away? I got stretch marks on the sides of my lower torso when I was at 220 for a long time, like years(I think my skin is just kinda bad in that regard) and those are years old. They have faded a bit, but I am more concerned about these new ones because I know its because im fat.

These frontal stretch marks are what is finally pushing me over the edge, already found two gyms in the area and plan on starting right in September and getting a temporary personal trainer for a bit to get me set up with a good routine and teaching me proper technique.

But has anyone had stretch marks here, then worked out and got /fit/ and they eventually faded a lot? Mine arent super bad and thankfully the frontal ones are covered in a lot of hair on my stomach, but seriously fuck these, I cant be having these already at 23 years old.

Today I'm picking up a 300lbs bar set.

I'm 350lbs with no job, mom's basement, recently divorced and all I got is time. Can't wait to see progress in the next couple months when I go from ham planet to Muscular ham planet.

Are protein powders okay to lose weight? My friend gave me some for free since I go to the gym and said I should drink a shaker the morning and after going to the gym. Will it stop me from losing weight? I'm at 105kg and I want to get to 90kg first.

This. I had to face the music myself, and it's why I finally started taking this seriously.
You face the facts, feel ashamed for a little bit, then realize that there are tools to use, and you take control of losing the weight.

Granted, I was a little shorter and lighter than anon, but proportionally I had a similar "obese" bmi.

And for the record, "obese" is not "morbidly obese". Don't think that you are somehow not obese just because you aren't Boogie.

i mean shit, do they fit your macros? building muscle through lifting and getting protein is good

im a vegetarian personally, so i use them to hit higher numbers of protein. The normal rule of thumb is that its better to eat your protein, not drink it "artificially" through supplyments, but I really struggle hitting protein numbers without.

I just shake it with milk and pour it over my oats, its a lititle calorie dense (around 600 kcal for a meal) but it saves milk and it makes my oats chocolately

I'd recommend protein shakes if you are actively lifting and going to the gym, as long as you fit the extra calories into your daily allowance

Day 8 of water fast. Down from 172lbs to 158. Goal weight is 140.

The vast, vast majority is going to be water weight of course. I figure at most 4 lb of that is actual fat.

Spent all of today laying in bed today, too tired to move, and dreaming of the take out food I'd usually order on a Friday cheat night. Papa Johns and the local Chinese is looking real tempting...

I figure to lose the 18 lbs I want to lose, I'll need to keep this up for another 36 days. It's gonna kill me, but at least then I'll finally be rid of the last of this visceral belly fat. After 14 months of dieting from 232lbs, the road will finally be over. Wish me luck bros.

How the fuck do people long distance run? I've lost 100 lbs, I'm powerful as fuck, big stupid muscles but I can't run worth half a shit.

I need to be able to sustain a run for a long time within 60 days. Cut my mile to 8 minutes but I think too much, I start heavy breathing. I run until my chest siezes up and I have to stop. This is like... 8-10m in.

Tips? Tricks? Help, Pease.

you dont actually need to a fast mile to run long distance. start with a decent speed like 6 mph and run it for 10 min, then slowly increase it to 30 min and dont increase speed. at 30 min then increase speed to like 7.0 and start again at 10 min.

I have no idea what I'm doing at the gym tbqh, I just do like lat pulldowns, leg press, and some bicep and tricep machine I think, then some cardio for like 15 minutes and then I have no idea what to do next and I just leave since I'm just standing there like an autismo. I think I will not go anymore unless I hire a trainer or some shit.
