Alternating grip is the stupidest meme lifters do these days.

Use overhand grip on weight you can hold to train grip strength and actually acomplish something.
If the weight is heavier than you can hold just use overhand with straps - Does the same thing as crossgrip but does not cause imbalance and has no risk.
