Plateaued at 218. Trying vegan this week. I know it's all CICO that matters but I fight my hunger and am on meds that don't help. Thought eating mass quantities of veggies and fiber would help. I also am having calf pain from starting C25k but gave myself a 3 day reprieve so hoping tonight will be good. Got new shoes, too. Also! Been wearing these new shoes (running shoes) while lifting and suddenly have weird squat form but put 5lb plates under my heels and seems to have helped. Maybe need training shoes, too.

As long as my body proportions are roughly right and my lifts are going up gives a fuck. I think I weigh about 220 @ 5'11 right now and feel no shame taking off my shirt even though I have a bit of a guy. Fat acceptance is a blessing as long as you are lifting 5 pounds more every week.

This is the third day of my fast guys, midnight tonight (GMT) will mark 72 hours without food. This is the first time I've completely abstained from all food longer than a day.

I experienced the closest thing to true hunger that I've ever had today at lunchtime, but I drank some coke zero and a bottle of water and it went away. It was sort of sick coupled with a very dull ache feeling. Had the same thing a couple of hours ago, but I'm through it now. Do I stop tomorrow or keep going to the weekend? I just broke through my latest weight barrier and that feels awesome. I don't have much left to lose, probably 10lbs.

From what I read, everyone seems to agree that the third day is the hardest, and thereafter it becomes increasingly easier, anyone have any experience of this? Regardless, I'm determined to see today out at the very minimum and I don't feel hungry when I wake up so that should give me a head start into tomorrow.

I do one fast a year.
Longest fast was 15 days last year. Not doing it for weight loss but to rest digestive system and let body cannibalize all the old dead cells and excess crap that builds up in body. Fasting triggers the body's reset mode and clears the caches of gunk your body collects. Your skin will look much better after about 10 days.

I love food way too much to give it up for one day each week, but I can do one long fast a year OK.

Eating well and exercise will probably keep you from needing to detox.

Fasting sucks as a weight loss technique, just eat less food, but DOES force the body to go into a healing, detox, reset mode. Just about every culture/religion uses fasting to clear the minds and purify the soul.

I weighed in at 170 just a couple hours ago, so probably 168 tomorrow morning. That's from 210 mid April. I used intermittent fasting and often just one meal a day and having a calorie deficit. To be honest I've gone mad some weekends and I destroyed the weeks work with the drink and put 2lbs in weight back on but there's certainly been a downward trend.

I do 75% cardio and 25% strength, 10km run once a week a 6.5km twice a week with freeweights and plenty of calisthenics thrown in. I've found that I can work out just fine even if I haven't eaten that day, although I've also found that it doesn't help with recovery.

Don't use shoes for running when you squat! The cushions in your soles will fuck up your form bro. just squat in you socks. I probably fucked both my form and my knees on this (maybe being a lard ass didn't help on the knee issue).
