Exercise is great, although I'd argue running is hard on your body, but really weight loss is mostly a diet thing. I mean get some exercise for general health, but, you have to spend a lot of gym time to burn off not much food. It's just not that efficient for fat burning.

uh in the span of a two week period i lost the love of my life, graduated college, and had a 24th birthday where no one even gave a shit. my work is off for the summer and i figured i had to do something. started keto and have been eating at 1500kcal for that time span. i've had like cheat days and shit too and some days where i've skipped some meals but i really haven't done anything too drastic here. i used to do 30 min elliptical and an hour on a treadmill at high incline but i traded the elliptical for lifting and an hour of treadmill with incline.

Nobody knows how loose skin works. Generally it is seen more commonly in people who have lost a large amount of weight quickly but that could very well be circumstantial. Regardless, lose weight at a comfortable pace for you and deal with loose skin if it comes. It does tighten up to an extent...but it can take a while and most people can't handle that shit. If thats you, def lift as you lose.

Former anorexic. Current fatty. Always had disordered eating but I've gotten so fat I just want to be anorexic again. I come here every day and want to get fit instead but I just keep eating. I've always been bothered by my right forearm looking more muscular because it had more vascularity. Now that I have a lower bf%, I realized that it was only due to my right forearm having a big thick vein that my left one simply lacks. I'm not sure if the same thing applies to you, just putting it out there in case it does.

I substitute greek yoghurt for light coconut milk, gives it a better texture. It's not 100% the same as restaurant butter chicken but scratches the itch

I can't speak for anybody else, but I've lost 80lbs so far, am starting to look pretty good but I can tell the loose skin is going to make me look like shit despite my best efforts - yeah, I can learn to deal with it, but it feels like a shit sandwich after a lot of hard work.

On the other hand, I only have myself to blame for getting into such a state in the first place. As for surgery, dunno about elsewhere in the world but it's fucking expensive in the UK sadly.

Either way though, I'm taking the "fuck it, it's my battlescar" approach in the meantime. Yeah, it might be mental gymnastics to make myself feel better, but it works because it's kinda true.

Oh, and these guys helped put it into perspective for me. Pretty damn admirable as well, I think the younger kid lost 170lbs or something.
