On my way to becoming /fit/. It's surprisingly not that hard! Starter going to the gym a bit less than 4 four months ago alternating between cardio and lifting days, taking one or two days off a week. Radically changed my eating habits, replaced rice by brown rice, pasta by whole wheat pasta and stopped eating bread. Completely stopped taking processed sugar and I dont crave it a bit (the hardest part for me was taking my coffee without sugar but got used to it). My meals are pretty wholesome and the rare times I feel hungry I repress it by drinking water or some healthy snack.
It may seem hard at first but the results and social/psychological gains are so worth it.
I lost went from 105kg in march to 90kg now. I peaked at 120kg about two and a half years ago.

I'm not necessarily fat but got a huge wake up call today. I'm 6'1 218lbs and have never weighed more. Freshman year of college I was chubby at 210 and looked like shit. Sophomore year I hit the gym hard. I dropped all the way to 185 and made massive gains in strength and muscle. Jr year I was back up to 200 and lost a lot of strength but gained a gf. Gf combined with engineering curriculum made me lose track of my fitness. I was back up to 210 Senior year. I graduated last month and do nothing but sit around my house.

I've never been heavier in my life but that changes starting now. I just got a new bike for cardio and a fitbit to track my calories burned. I'm getting a gym membership as soon as I buy my car (2 weeks). I'm done being lazy.

Used to weigh 130 KG
Down to about 95-100 KG depending on the day
Lost the weight through getting a job as a waiter (walking 40 hours a week back and forth) as well as definitely eating healthier

Today was my first day doing any intentional exercise in about 5 years. It was pathetic, but this is what I did (could have done a bit more of both but I was seeing roughly what my limit is:
20 45 degree angle push ups (flat push ups are not possible with my skinny arms)
1.25 mile run
20 45 degree push ups

Suggest a little mini plan that I can do daily that involve no gym membership etc. I was thinking keep with the push ups and running so:
Some jumping jacks
Some push ups
Some running
Some jumping jacks
Some push ups
Some running

I realise how fucking retarded I sound after reading that back but there we go - slate me all you want but at least provide something constructive whilst you do it, cheers guys

So I've been going to the gym on and off for like 4 weeks now. I try to go at least 2 or 3 times a week (I've only ever done 2). I do squats, bench w/ barbells and row and do a tiny bit of curls.

I'm 5ft 7, just under 80kg and I'm looking to drop down to 65ish.

Should I be doing more? Not on a meal plan, but am trying to eat healthier. Thinking of swimming for cardio.

I lost 80 pounds starting at 270 in 1 year with 0 days in the gym, 1 cheat day a week. Literally all I did was walk a lot, maintain a 500-750 calorie deficit, and did some push ups and planks every couple days.

Most people JUST starting out lose 20 pounds in the first month and a half.

Just get some fucking consistency.

Some people fuck up after 4 days, I do well on 4day cut and fuck up 2days of extra eating gain weight, stop eating on the last day and try again

Brain force works for me but I don't use it every day, I just take it for certain tasks. Its effect is hard to describe though, I'll give you that. Secret 12 is just B12, if your diet already has it then you prolly won't notice shit. I use the toothpaste, the blue kind though I hate bubblegum flavors.

My favorite shit by far though is the iodine. American diets suck for iodine unless you chong down on kale and seaweed all day.

Had a cheat meal last night. Beef cutlet with chicken and vegetable curry. Ordered 200g of rice (smallest portion) and only ate half.

They date, fuck, and have a ton of friends who are still friends with them today. they built friendships with men and women in their teens and those relationships stuck with them through their 20s


cousin is fat. I ask him how he dates women and he says it would be tougher for me since i'm not really social and fun to hang around. If you are negative and only focus on putting yourself down no women would want to hang out with you, he is fat and still goes out and doesn't hide behind a computer screen. The thing that sucks is it has a lot to do with how you are raised, he was always outside and hanging out with people meanwhile my family kept us indoors and told the kids to not hang out with people from school = no relationships with people

I'm 30 now, I still struggle with relationships with people meanwhile my cousins are married

Yea women make the choice to fuck you or not, be friends with you or not and they get to decide to talk to you socially, but it really does come down to what do you offer in a friendship or even relatinship with people. As I said above I'm like 30% body fat and I'm very strong socially I typically take the lead in conversations and from what I can gage people like to be around me.

In terms of women though, I feel like since I got fatter probably from 20% body fat to 30% body fat now I have to basically work twice or three times as hard to attract women. I just have a feeling that a lot of women aren't attractive from the get go but my personality helps me out in that aspect

I'm a pretty strong person but this shit hits me both motivationally but also through depression.

I now think back to the times when I was slim and realise that the attention I got off girls was actually them fancying me. I'm a fucking fool. I literally had a girl I lived with stare at my body constantly after showers. She'd even be waiting outside the bathroom.

I think there's a good possibility that you could accomplish it anon, but you'd have to work for it. Don't bother with cardio much - focus more on training your chest, arms, shoulders, and abdomen. Don't neglect cardio completely because you'll want to lose some weight initially - I imagine - and that'll coincide with whatever you decide to eat. Remember, plenty of water, avoid dairy, and more protein. If you're hungry, drink water, or eat a small handful of nuts or fruit for additional protein and nutrition.

I'd aim for about 7 reps, with 7 being the most intense (for dumbbell exercises). Don't overdo it and don't exert yourself too much in the beginning weeks dude, or you'll give up. The same goes for checking the scales - do it once per month, in the morning before eating/drinking, and on the same day (i.e. 8th of every month). Make a record. I wouldn't focus too much on counting calories at this stage unless you wanted to, just be careful about what you're eating.

Running can be heavy but cardio isn't limited to running. You can walk everyday, even if it's just 30 mins. Don't forget anon, something is better than nothing. You're not a huge fatass (no homo), so nothing to worry about for now.

Don't listen to these fat fucks fatty. When I was 220lb I had a crazy month last year cycling 250miles for 2 weeks then 300 miles then 340 in my final week. About 1140 miles in a month...

I lost 3lbs eating like a king, but I looked like I lost 10lb and had huge quads by the end of the month. I ballooned up to 236lb over 4 months after a herniated disk a month later. But I got it down eventually.

It's likely you packed some weight onto your quads/legs and less so core. If you cycled properly you'd be burning calories and packing on your arms and core more and more. If you cycle your gonna gain muscle mass... Which in the short term you think damn not budging but you still lose 2lbs and gain 1lb of muscle seeing a shift of 1lb when you were used to 2-3. I'd rather lose 1lb on the scales gaining a lb of muscle and losing 2 of fat than losing 3lbs of fat on the scale.

You wont get away eating what you want though... No way. Stick to your deficit and the added muscle will accelerate your weight loss as you have more muscle to maintain a month down the line.

Posting a recipe that helped me and my girlfriend lose weight a while ago, this is amazing. It's so cheap to make and it tastes amazing.
It's higher in calories than you'd expect (if you make it with about 200g of chicken breast it'll be over 400 cals) but the protein from both the chicken and the lentils combined with the carbs from the lentils will keep you full for ages.

Nowadays when I eat it (I'm 6'0", 154lbs) it keeps me full for about 4 hours.
I much prefer this over chicken and brown rice, I alternate though so one week I'll have lentils and chicken, then I'll have rice and chicken or maybe fish and veggies.

Please remember to eat and not starve yourself.

I can't progress my weights anymore. Is it better to get more caloric intake to attempt to increase my weights (I'm eating at about 1300 a day) or just keep squatting the same babyweights while eating the same low amount?

A small bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos
5 Hershey's Kiss's
A Damak bar (dark chocolate and pistachios)

I know I shouldn't eat this junk but...

I was craving the Cheetos.
The Hershey's came to me.
The Damak bar was just here so I stuffed it in my mouth.

Not sure what made today different from other days. I should probably have eaten more vegetables, and had a real lunch instead of some chicken and spinach.

I cut out all of that cold turkey. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. The most difficult one to maintain is avoiding fast food, because sometimes, time is the main culprit when I'm out and around.

However, my number 1 rule to weight loss is if there's a drive thru, it's off limits. So much so that the McDonalds in my town got knocked last month for a remodel and I didn't notice until someone told me.

Okay so for a long time now I've had this issue but I haven't cared much because til now because I am taking fitness seriously again and it is severely affecting my progress.

So when in gets around 11pm-12am I start to get really sleepy. To the point where while I am doing something I start falling asleep. The thing is though is that when I try to lay down and close my eyes to actually go to sleep I start getting massive anxiety. It's like everything that has given me slight to moderate anxiety comes rushing into my head all at once at full volume. It usually starts making my heart race super fast and there's been a few times where it's bordered on a panic attack.

On nights like tonight where I don't drink, (i've tried to give up drinking except for the weekends because of dependency I developed on it during a depressive period) my body starts craving food during this period. I don't feel hungry or even like I have an apetitie, but for some reason my first response to combat this feeling is to go in the kitchen and just binge eat for about ten or fifteen minutes. After that the anxiety is gone and that plus my body's reaction to binging pretty much makes me finally go to sleep.

Does anyone else here have this problem? I know I probably sound like a stupid faggot but I really don't WANT to do this late night binge eating shit. I have been doing good on diet but this shit fucks it up every time, and i can't go back to drinking because I drink too much and I only drink beer cuz liqour fucks me up too much and I can't afford it anyway, nevermind how bad alcohol is for gainz and weight loss.

i was just thinking of some other sweet treat in that calorie range. desu you could eat 42 calories in the form of 1/6th of a chocolate bar every day of your life and not even count it in your calories and be a-okay. if you're even portioning the chocolate bar out to 1/6th you don't have to worry about ending up like the fatties. they're not portioning shit, they're eating the whole thing and maybe a second one if they still feel hungry.
