To all /fat/izens, pls don't use adderall / other stimulants to lose weight. I saw someone post about it in another thread, but didn't get a chance to tell him off.

Adderall will kill your appetite, in fact it'll make it near impossible to eat anything while on the drug. As a result I personally lost around 10 lbs in a week during finals last semester.
But trust me, it isn't worth it. In any university you'll notice the guys who are addicted to the stuff. Not only are they always super skinny and irritable, they're also legitimtely drug addicts.

I had to pop my ex-roommate right in da fibber as he kept tryin to steal my girls jewelry and my pocket money. You'll become a genuine fiend for the stuff. It's addictive as all hell. I usually end up taking addy every day for about a week during finals and I still occasionally am hit with a craving for it months after the fact. It's just not worth it.

I know in my case, I got an effective treatment for ADD. Then immediately started working out, exercising, and dieting. Because all of a sudden I could. It was like my body was a car stuck in neutral. I'd gotten good use out of it, but If I needed it to do anything I really had do get out and push. Getting treatment was like suddenly being able to shift it into gear and drive.

AnalFag here. I'm 12 pounds down in 15 days. By body fat % lost, I'm down 6 pounds of fat. (25.2% to start, currently 23.1%.) I'm not stuck on the percentage, but it's close enough to gauge progress. I'm having a hard time seeing any results besides on the scale. My stomach looks/feels slightly less fat (and bloated) but my waist hasn't budged at all. Belt is still exactly as tight as when I started. Am I not losing any fat at all? Any reason my waist has shrank at all in 12 pounds?

Yeah, I think it's because I was a fat cunt as a kid and my households diet is dogshit so I don't touch most of it, always coated in butter and oil with fried chips as sides. Nay, not because you can't cheat now and again, but because when I did something similar it really fucked me up. I was eating really good and healthy, and then had a heavy dinner and some cheesecake. My stomach wasn't used to that anymore, so I ended up on the toilet and with stomach pains.

I'm 5'7 on 1500 to cut and it's working great right now. 1800 was causing me to stall. I suggest going by the websites for a week, checking your progress, then adjusting as needed. Just don't go 1200 low except for a really short time.

I need genuine advice because I'm really scared that I'm gonna fuck this up and be worse off than I started.

I've been counting calories for 10 months and lost a lot of weight. I dare say I'm at goal weight, even though I never specified what I wanted that to be. I just wanted to keep going until I had no visible fat.
So over the past 10 months I set some rules.
Never go over 1500kcal a day, that way even if I'm not making progress, I'm not undoing the work I've done. I can eat whatever I want as long as the daily total is under this number.
Count everything and round up to 50kcal. That gives me some wiggle room in case I count it up wrong, or the label is incorrect, or anything like that.
So now my weight has gone from 310lbs to 150lbs, and I'm ecstatic, but not satisfied with it.
I still have rolls of fat, I can grab handfuls of it. It's disgusting.
My average daily calories is currently sitting at 902. For this week alone it's 842.
I keep hearing it's not enough, and I can't justify raising it because it's working, I'm not seeing any adverse effects from it, why fix what isn't broken.
But obviously I can't live on that much forever, i'm going to have to raise that number eventually, and that genuinely scares the crap out of me. I really don't want to have to do that, because that's playing with fire. I don't trust myself to eat more than the absolute minimum.
If I start taking in 1700kcal a day and I see the scale move up, I know that's going to make me want to double down and limit calories, or start throwing up meals (which I've done once or twice, usually because of stomach cramps after lots of carbs).

I understand this is an odd problem to have on /fat/, but I need someone to tell me what to do, and more importantly, explain why so I can rationalise it to myself.

DOMS isn't a real injury, it's just soreness. Sure it's caused by small tares in your muscle fiber, but it doesn't ACTUALLY impair the ability of your muscles to lift. Just your mentality.

If you wait until you are no longer sore before you lift again you are going to get DOMS every time you do. Just gotta bare through it for a week or two and you wont get them very frequently ever again.

If it's an actual injury like pulling/tearing a muscle you do need time off to recover, but not for DOMS.

I want to get /fit/ and eat well but I live in a house of fatties. My mom's fat, my dad's obese, my sister's obese, and I'm obese. Pushing 300 lbs. I want to eat well and workout but whenever I do it my family makes fun of me. Everytime I try to cook something healthy my sis or dad will pass by and say something snide like "hope you don't burn it" or "I bet that tastes awful." I love my mom and my mom loves me too, but she'll refuse to eat anything if I don't eat it too. Male/87.5kg/180cm cutting @1500 KCAL daily WITHOUT FAIL. been going at it for 2+ months.

Went from 98 to 87.5 kg in this short periode, didn't see that much loss in the gym, but then I just picked it up again when I started.

The question I guesss is, is this waaayyyy too low KCAL intake or am I fine? I eat aroun 150 g of protein daily too. I was so afraid I'd never cut if I didn't go drastically below, but I don't really trust all these calcs. Anybody with the same stats that ate more and had decent weight loss here?

I never bothered with exercise because it wasn't crucial to my goal. I know that's blasphemy on /fit/ but to be honest, i'm lazy.

Try sprinkling in 30 minutes of cardio at the end of your lifting session.

The idea is that lifting burns most of your carbs/glycogen stores and the cardio can more easily burn fat. It's a little brosciency though.

Lemon pepper salmon, teriyaki salmon, or olive oil, paprika, salt and pepper. For all three of these, all you have to do is preheat the oven to 425F, brush over your sauce or condiments of choice, and bake 15 minutes, then remove the skin form the bottom. Couscous is really good with this along with some combination of broccoli, spinach, and carrots.

I make salmon three ways:

Grill
>self-explanatory. I like using wood planks to grill on them

Panfry
>season with cayenne and Cajun
>2 tbsp of butter or olive oil
>fry skin first and then flip

Bake
>casserole dish
>squeeze lemon juice
>add sliced lemon and green onions
>cover with tinfoil
>400 degrees for 25 mins. This varies though so I like to check the temperature to ready 165

Rinse out your salmon so that you get rid of the fishy smell before you cook it

Calculate your TDEE. I ran it quickly and your TDEE should be about 2000 calories at 150 pounds. If you want to cut 300-500 calories a day that's fine, but you don't need to be 1100 calories under your TDEE each day. It might actually be harming you now since your body is trying to conserve energy by retaining that flab. I'm no expert but I would say you'd be fine adding 500-700 more calories per day to your current intake. I'm lazy too, but try doing calisthenics twice a week to start and see if some of that fat rolls start shrinking after a month. By the way, good job on escaping fat prison.

Then you can cut a few calories again. If you're eating 850-900 calories right now and still losing weight, then you're under TDEE. If you add more calories and you start gaining weight, then cut back until you find the right balance. try calculating your own TDEE for better accuracy; it should be around 2000 calories a day if you're sedentary like you say. Doubling your intake should still keep you just below TDEE.

Lost the weight through getting a job as a waiter (walking 40 hours a week back and forth) as well as definitely eating healthier

Today was my first day doing any intentional exercise in about 5 years. It was pathetic, but this is what I did (could have done a bit more of both but I was seeing roughly what my limit is:
20 45 degree angle push ups (flat push ups are not possible with my skinny arms)
1.25 mile run
20 45 degree push ups

Suggest a little mini plan that I can do daily that involve no gym membership etc. I was thinking keep with the push ups and running so:
Some jumping jacks
Some push ups
Some running
Some jumping jacks
Some push ups
Some running

I realise how fucking retarded I sound after reading that back but there we go - slate me all you want but at least provide something constructive whilst you do it, cheers guys
