I was actually pretty fit in highschool. Played outside a lot and just ate normally. When I entered University I stopped daily exercise and would usually stay on Campus to do work. Got too distracted at home. Ended up buying a lot of food everday being on Campus. Next thing you know I'm 190 pounds 3 years later after Uni started.

Of course it works, you're starving yourself. This is what bodyfat is for; it's stored energy used for survival if you would go several days/weeks without food.

But that guy, as soon as he's gonna start eating again, every calorie is gonna feel like 10. His body will build up fat for next time he's dumb enough to starve himself.
It's like when you're sick as fuck, just throw up for 2 days and then you weight yourself to realize you've lost 5 pounds.
Those 5 pounds come back hella quick when you're healthy and eating normally, and the same thing will happen for anyone fasting.

I don't really have a set time to weigh myself. I know I should do it first thing in the morning but lately I've found that I weigh more then than I do later in the day.

I am 131 pounds now (female, 5'5). Doing keto, IF and on approx 1000 calorie intake daily (under 700 tdee) because quite frankly I can't eat much more than that.
I am using unorthodox methods such as juicing as well which I did for three days but I am not doing that again, it gave me a big headache and I spent one of those days lethargic in bed and couldn't work out. You guys have it good having intakes at deficit of 2000 and such. The last ten to twenty pounds are really slow and hard to scrape up.

Think about the possibility of skin not having the time to adjust and as a result of drastic weight loss, sagging, also consider the damage to your metabolism if you indulge into the hardcore shortcuts like juicing/water fasting and also consider the idea that you might gain it back if you don't slowly increase your intake, monitor your macros really well, and choosing the right food to come off the fast... What is your current nutrition and or exercise regimen ?

Commented on a previous thread about how I wasn't abe to work out for more than 7 minutes without feeling like I was gonna die. Haven't worked out in over a year since my friend died.

Well good news been working out consistently and I can break 10 minutes and still have energy. I think i'm gonna start working out twice a day now. 10-15 minute sessions. Shits getting good. Even tho i'm 5'5 once I get this chad cock i'm set boiiiisss.

Been in the gym 1 year now
Started at 75 kg, got to 84 and decided to lose some weight
Currently Ive lost from 84 to 79 (pic related) but I dont see any visual change in my body fat
Im almost positive I didnt lose that much muscle since I am keeping my lifting records and I am able to do more pullups now than when I started

Fry 200gr shrimp in 2 tsp of olive oil, when they're cooked throuh add a shitton of garlic. If the garlic releases aroma add 4 tbsp of 5% cream (it's called a "milk specialty" but it's essentially really low fat cream and it's great for cutting) and cook for a minute before adding parsley. Don't forget to use salt and pepper, I like to season my meat/seafood/fish and sauce seperately and I always use sea salt. Add as many pasta as you want or just eat as is.

Hi /fat/, first time posting here. I'm 5'10 270 and I finally started to commit to losing weight. I started lurking here a week ago to seek advice, and just wanted to ask if this is a good start.

I'm currently using myfitnesspal and based on the information I put in I should be taking in a maximum of 1770 calories daily. The diet part is kind of hard because it's quite expensive to buy proper food around here plus everyone eats rice so I'm trying to manage by listing in everything I eat on the app.

For lifting on my second day(today, first day was tuesday) I took a tablet of hydroxycut, did 20 min cardio, then squats, benchpress and then deadlifts. Is it okay to start with light weights then keep increasing for one set each day until I get to bodyweight?

Also should I start preparing myself for keto this early? I'm totally dead set on losing weight since I should've started in january but was too much of a lazy faggot to do so, so I'm trying to make up for lost time. Thanks /fat/

Sometimes I feel like giving up on life in general, I know that my newly formed interest in health and fitness is a last stand at bettering my living conditions so that I can maintain the semblance of a happy healthy life, but even then, when fit and healthy, I am not entirely sure I will be happy. I completely let myself go after I started dating my bf a year ago. I gained nearly 20lbs in a year (I'm 5'0 so this is bad) and he gained about 40. My dad is pretty /fit/ and for basically my whole life has subtly called me fat ("we need to buy you boys' pants because you don't fit in pants for girls") and shamed me for eating too much at dinner. I literally hid in a closet to eat potato chips multiple times through elementary and middle school. At the same time if I didn't finish my plate at dinner or if I my mom made something that I didn't like I was being a "picky baby." He still pulls this shit, and then he'll complain about what I cooked for him and how he'd rather have Walmart-brand frozen meatballs and spaghetti than the handmade meatballs, sauce and pasta I spent two hours making. He also likes to complain that measuring the ingredients for meals makes him have to wait longer for dinner. I did cross-country running for about two years in high school and he would practice with us, but he wouldn't run with me because I was too slow. Then he'd smoke a cigarette and chat with the coach while we stretched.

wow, your dad sounds like a character. I'm sure he meant well but knew not what he was doing. I tried changing my mom's eating habits, she has diabetes and an onslaught of other health issues, being obese, but it's sad to say she's too far gone...I instilled a couple healthy habits while I could, then I learned to let go, and not beat myself over it. Never really got taught anything useful by my parents, I think a lot of babyboomer offspring has a similar experience. I had the same problem and when I started out I just saved some kcals for healthy snacks just in case I entered hungry hippo mode after dinner. Grapes are great, they saved my life. Am also grill, 5'0 136.8 lbs (started at 150, nasty nasty obese mode) and used to be a huge night snacker (huge snacker in general desu), what I did was I just started eating my big (usually higher carb) meal in the afternoon which keps me super full until dinner (I go to the gym right before dinner), then have a small protein-based meal for dinner which makes it so I'm full/satisfied enough through the rest of the night. I eat dinner ~5 hours before going to bed and I never get hungry at night anymore. You'll get used to it, you just have to control yourself.

2kgs per week starting at your weight is very good in the sense that it's not extreme so it's most likely to stay off, as well as being a decent amount for such a high starting point. It'll decrease potentially as you go along unless you decrease your intake progressively as you go along on a more and more drastic cut. Be mindful to recalculate your tdee and caloric deficit often as you lose weight as you might soon be overeating for the body you once had and not the one you have now!

desu I just use my bike's preprogrammed difficulty setting. The one I use climbs in intensity and goes back down to start again, 4 times, over 35 minutes. At the most difficulty it gets hard to talk or bike as fast as at the lower levels, and I'm glad when it ends, usually.
I should probably go for HIIT.

it's somewhat, in the strict sense of it, a type of HIIT what you are doing, with the intensity of effort being consistently pushed further through the 35 mins of exercise, however the volume and longevity of effort needed is somewhat exagerated unless you are training for steep incline race biking. A HIIT training will benefit you much greater than your previous regimen, in burning fat and you can relish on the fact you developed enough endurance doing your current regimen to be able to go through 20-30 mins of HIIT daily.
