I would love to tell myself to learn to count calories at a young age and to simply find my TDEE and not eat too much on a regular basis. I think I could have saved myself a lot of trouble in my high school and college years.

I'm having a really hard time being consistent on my diet. I don't think I realize how fat I am day to day. I give into cravings very regularly. I've made a little progress, lost 55 pounds last year, but the scale has stayed at my CW since Feburary. I need help, I'm not gonna make it.

I am very social, play in bands in my town, go on dates, not socially rejected because I am very outgoing. It's like I forget I'm fat when I'm in a group. I have a lack of self-awareness day-to-day. It leads to thinking all the drinking and eating is fine, but in reality my body feels horrible all the time I wana die. When I see pictures on facebook of drunk me at my favorite bars I die inside. I'm huge.

My job is in a local pizza joint, so pizza is everyday. Alcohol every other day with friends. Constant cheating on diet.

I know this is so much easier said than done but I would honestly consider finding a different job. Being around that constant temptation is so bad for you, both physically and psychologically. Of course drinking doesn't help either. I suggest cutting down on that obviously.

I wouldn't browse here if I didn't want to change, I dream of changing every day and have already lost some weight but the job switch I'm not sure I could pull off. I make $15.00/hour there 40hours a week and I have a rent and car to pay. I have no degree so leaving this job would mean defaulting on my car loan if not other things too. Without a degree the next decent job I could get would be nowhere near $15.00/hour.

I was able to resist pizza before though, when I lost 55 pounds, I can do it again. I cook the pizza every day I'm fuckin sick of pizza, only reason I eat it is because I don't bring my own lunch to work anymore.

I think your maintenance is closer to 2175. There's an equation that works for most if not all mammals to figure out how many calories they need for a sedentary lifestyle according to weight. (Kg^.75)x70. Lbs is just divided by 2.2 to get kgs.

Over exercising is a thing but I was wondering at what point does exercise become too much?
With weight lifting I guess it's kinda obvious, you'd notice your body is sore as fuck and you'd probably injure yourself.
But what about cardio say riding a bike or using the treadmill.

I used to use it for fat loss during my IF but I've had to transition away from it. I'm doing like a... weekend IF since I'm burning less during these days.

I take 7 capsules with a caffeine chaser, wait 15m, then do 45-60m of moderate cardio. Some people see their heart rate jump up and they get super sweaty, but my stomach just kinda tightens up.

Hey /fat/ What do you guys think of picrelated? I am not a morning person and I have been having these in the morning as I can pop them in the microwave when I shower and eat it when I am out. They are $2.50. The sodium is a bit high but they are only 320kcal, having 24g of protein, 31g of carbs (8g dietary fiber), and 10g of fat. They taste great and fill me up until lunch.

The way I've attempted to tackle cutting is by using Vyvanse and a 16/8 intermittent fasting routine with one bi-weekly 24 hour fast.

However, I know that losing this much weight this quickly means that I'm also burning some muscle along with my fat, and I'm at the risk of yo-yo'ing with one wrong move.

So I've decided to set myself up an eating plan that I wanted to share, and see what u guys think about it.

So after fasting for 16 hours, my breakfast would start off by eating two egg whites along while drinking one scoop of protein powder.

For my lunch, I'd have 1 cup of fat-free yogurt, a piece of whole wheat toast, and a can of tuna for the spread.

For dinner, I'd have 8 oz. of baked chicken cutlets using 1Tbsp of olive oil, 2 cups of steamed broccoli, and 0.2 cups of brown rice.

Then, an hour before bedtime, I'll finish it off with a scoop of protein powder & a piece of fruit.

My macros:
155g of protein 51%
105g of Carbohydrates 34%
20g of fat 15%
Half of the fat being monounsaturated fats.

The total calories would come out to 1,223 calories. Which should have me losing around 1-2 pounds per week. It doesn't seem like a lot of calories, but for my height it's what many fat loss calculators call for if I desire to lose 1-2 pounds per week.

My questions are, am I on the right track by sticking to a meal routine like this and just rotating the meats out to give variety, or will I just fall flat on my face quickly?

Secondly, I'm not working out currently but I've heard that your body needs around 1g of protein per pound of body weight. I know that if I stay at a calorie intake around 1200 that I would lose weight, but if I were to maintain a protein intake that's proportionate to my weight now ~150g of protein. Would that mean that I'd retain all of the muscle that I currently have, and would only be losing fat while cutting?

I started off being a lazy shit and just had smaller portions, cut out almost all of my bread. I slowly started eating healthier, had a lot more veggies and cut out potatoes and barely eat rice. I mainly just eating bacon or something similar in the day and just had meat and veg for dinner.

Didn't consider that. Though, I'm not sure how vitamin and mineral rich my diet of coke and frozen pizza was. Any suggestions on that front, maybe a good brand of supplements? Don't starve yourself, just learn how to eat at a deficit, it will be better for you in the long run. Taking the fast way out if how you yo-yo.

A generic multivitamin, fish oil, and a calcium + vitamin D supplement would probably be enough.

I have a feeling I'm at the tipping point now. I'm fine now, but that was a little scary. Hunger has basically been non-existant. The only time I've ever passed out is when I had to fast for 24 hours and had 4 blood vials taken when I was 12 years old.

I'll probably start blending a multi-vitamin into my water if it happens again, and continue to put a little salt first water of the day.

I genuinely think the issue in america is that people are eating High Fat High Carb.

High Carb Low Fat is proven to work. High Fat Low Carb is proven to work.

Pick one and stick with it. Any kind of dietary advice is really just something for your toolbox for you to try out and use. I'm doing Keto right now (but am severely restricting my fat intake to use bodyfat instead), but I know it's not sustainable for me because I want to eats carbs. So once I hit my goal weight I'll switch backt o a more carb focused diet, because I want to eat sandwhiches mostly.

Because they were never healthy to begin with. Going from high fat high carb to high fat low carb is still an improvement and it will force them to eat less because most good things have carbs in them.

216 lbs, 5'6 (closer to 7 really but fuck it I'll round down), this calculator [http://fitness.bizcalcs.com/Calculator.asp?Calc=Body-Fat-Navy] gave me a body fat % of 35%.
Scooby's calculator gives me a TDEE of 2536, while tdeecalculator.net gives me 2095.

1. Which calculator is more accurate? I'm inclined to overshoot and go with the 2536

2. This past week I've been doing Stronglifts and Couch 2 5k while eating at 1690, is this too little? I've been making sure I'm getting enough protein, and honestly I'm not finding it too difficult to eat less

Check the subreddit for a daily vendor list. I normally buy from indo elephant but they don't have any in stock.

Don't be like me and take it twice a day, I developed a strong tolerance and now I can barely feel anything from it. Quitting it for a month or so to see if that helps. I'm used to eating very little now anyway.
