Figure out what you're focusing on in the diet and stick to it. You can eat tons of protein and carbs and sculpt muscles by working out a ton. You can keep your carbs low and fats high and burn without working out. And yes, you can lose weight by just keeping yourself under your maintenance by several hundred calories, but it's a lot harder if you're not suppressing your appetite by filling up with fats/veggies or working out

Anyone else almost happy when they get sick?

Have a nasty sinus thing right now and although I feel like shit, I have no appetite.

While I can't exercise, I know a few pounds are gonna be dropped before I get better.

Whomever loses the most pounds gets 1st place down to third place. Same for 'weekly percentage lost' which is the percentage from your starting weight last week to your current weight this week. I name a winner there as well.

All its meant to do is foster a competitive and supportive environment for the participants and for people to look at their data in a different light. Weight loss is less daunting when, with your goal date, you can look at the spreadsheet and see a number that you know you can do.

'Lose .17 lbs a day? I can do that...' Plus that community feeling seems to be good for everyone as well.

So I think I have finally found d what works for me. Last year I went from 1,600kcal to 1,200kcal to 1,600kcal again to off my diet. I lost 25lb but couldn't stick on it and stopped the diet. So I'm doing the chicken/veggie meal prep meme for lunch everyday and I just bought my scale.

I put an entire of skinless chicken breast (48oz) into the crock pot and after 10 hours I shredded it so I could portion them into lunches.

However all of the chicken together now weights like 35oz. This is probably a very dumb question but does the same nutrition per 4oz apply now? Did it lose all of that weight from defrosting?

Dinner's ready and 4th day of sobriety is pretty much a done deal. Tonight we got:

-1/4 cauliflower leftover from last night
-some random piece of lettuce
-plain chicken breast

Nah. I used to eat a little bit raw, but it gave me headaches. I just throw it in coconut oil and fry em up till they're a pretty brown and eat em like that. Tastes good to me.

Onions have 10 carbs and a tomato has 5 so I'm doing fine on my carb percentage right now, and an egg and cheese omelette cooked in butter was the 300 calories for fat.

Even if they don't care about strength, EVERYONE needs to do resistance training while cutting. If you hit your protein goals and lift, you'll lose less muscle and more fat. If you just cut at a crazy deficit with no resistance training, you lose both muscle and fat. You'll weigh less, but have nearly the same fat:muscle ratio.

I'm 5'11 and started at 240 on April 15th. I'm 211 as of today as well. I haven't had any issues with loose skin and I wouldn't be worried about that. Unless you're planning on dropping down another 50lbs or so. I think that's more of an issue with people 300lbs and over.

My goal is 170 and I'll see what's best to do from there. But I've also started exercising more and just started lifting weights the other day. I think that's a good idea to avoid just being skinnyfat when you reach your goal weight.

I forget the dudes name but he does hypnosis videos. Search "weight loss hypnosis" and the thumbnail has a sunset beach. His deep, raspy voice close to the mic has some kind of vibrating effect on your brain. And if you try hard enough, your "day"dreaming will seem real af (and may eventually slip into real sleep dreaming and lucid dreaming). Careful though, the powerful effects of hypnosis may shock your dream self and cause nightmares.

I also love putting on an Almazan kitchen video. No dialogue cooking. The cooking ambience (cackling fire, the repetitive sound of chopping, sizzling etc) have a great power to relax you and put you to sleep. Don't watch the vid obviously.
