Hi guys, couple questions!
Here are my stats : female, 165cm, 61,5 kg, estimating bf % at about 24%. I have been dieting (keto, IF 16:8, 1200 cal intake so approx 600 cal deficit) and working out at home everyday for approx an hour (20-25 mins hiit cardio + 30 min weight training + 20 min abs/bodyweight exercises). A low cost gym I can afford opens up close to home in 15 days, and I will join it. I want to go the long way and not only become fit, but become a bodybuilder by recreation. I like the muscular, strong physique rather than the cardio bunny appearance. Now I know it'll take me years to achieve that goal. I'm willing to put in the work.
My question is that simple : should I lose fat first ie keep at the regimen I've been doing, or should I focus on maintenance/bulk nutrition in order to put on muscle mass. I don't mind looking bulky with fat over muscle, I want to get strong. I want to know which is the safest road for an overweight person to reaching a muscular build (15 bf% at most in end goal, on a cut).
tldr : should an overweight person looking to make muscle gains cut, maintain, or bulk FIRST?

I think the BMI is not an accurate representation of health, as it is only based on factors such as height or weight. I think bf% is more definite in terms of body composition, and thus general understanding of one's physical condition. Based on that aspect, I (24% bf) am on the lower range of what is considered healthy, even by american standards, and personally, I think I have felt the healthier in my life when I was at 17% body fat a couple years ago. So I am going by that feeling, rather than simply blindly aspiring for a number devoid of meaning to me. Thanks for your concern though, it's certain there is need to adress eating disorders, and body dysmorphia when under doubt it may affect somebody.

19 yrs, 74 kg down from 77, looking to shred down to 70 before week 26. Currently on 1700 kcal/day with 250 g. protein, 70 g carbs and 40 g. fat.

I am weightlifting doing a upper/lowerbody schedule and will soon hop on some ECA alike stack. Will I make it?

Guys how do I deal with my feeder girlfriend?
I am 400lbs overweight. She is 240lbs so not as fat but she says she has to be able to walk (which I barely can) because she needs to feed me when my legs collapse.

I love her but she admits fully that she is intentionally feeding me to death because she finds it arousing. When she found me working out last week (and I say 'working out' I was actually just lifting up my hip folds, then slamming them into my hips, like a fatty version of the excersie you can do with a medicine ball) she took the ball and made me eat 4 plates of meatballs as 'ironic punishment'.

In fact she loves ironic punishment.If I accidentally wet the bed she makes me a cake then pours chicken stock over it as a ironic punishment and I have to eat it (she calls it a 'bed wetter cake'). If I drop a bowl of ice cream she makes me eat frozen carpet.

Chill and stop taking it personally. I weigh daily, but only record at the end of the week. People say not to weigh daily, but I think it helps you get to know how variable your weight is throughout the day and in so doing care less about your weigh-in and more about your trend. I also noticed that when I tried to only weigh on Sundays I would consider doing stupid shit like dehydrating myself just to get the lowest number possible.

well I used a bmr calculator which put me at 2909.25 cals, and used that Harris Benedict Formula and set it to sedentary even though I lift and cardio 6 days a week. Using the right one it wants me to eat 4500 cals to maintain, and for a cut take 500 off. Instead I'm using the sedentary formula which put me at 3500 cals, which is 1000 calories less than I need to maintain.

Honestly I'm new at this so I'm not even sure. I do PHUL 4x a week and HIIT cardio 2x a week since january and I'm 6'2" and 335lbs. Am I wrong about the bmr calculator? Should I be drastically cutting way more than the 1000 calories from the 4500 I need to maintain?

I think a good ballpark for cardio is 100 calories per 10 minutes. You may have burned a bit less since your pace was 10 mph. If you get a heart rate monitor and link it to your app, you will probably have a more accurate analysis but those are expensive. Do you use Strava? I feel it grossly overestimates calories burned when I run.

Went from 205lb to 162lb so far. Lost 20 between Nov 2016-Mar 2017 from deciding to permanently change my diet for both health and monthly food cost reasons. My basic rule is that if I didn't cook it, I don't eat it. (Most of what "it" is is veggies, fruit, brown rice, homemade wheat bread, chicken, almond milk, nuts, whey protein shakes, etc.) Surprisingly I crave food way less now, too. I guess processed shit really is addicting like they say.

Started doing a lot of cardio (mostly walking), some dumbell weight lifting, and doing exercises with exercise bands sometime in March, so weight loss is going a lot faster in conjunction with the eating changes.

This is pretty much the first time ever that I've ever gotten into weight loss without feeling like I'll inevitably relapse into gaining weight due to missing the shit out of garbage food. Now I can actually say no to that shit without a second thought.

tl;dr, my only real advice is exercise goes from being a chore to addicting once you get used to it, and if the food you're eating to get fit is tasteless and makes you feel unsatisfied eating it, you're making it wrong/haven't found out what healthy foods/dishes you actually enjoy yet.

Most importantly, get it in your head that your diet change isn't just going to be a temporary thing until you lose the weight, it's going to be the kind of stuff you'll be eating from now on for the rest of your life. Yeah that tub of ice cream might make you happy for like 10 minutes, but make you miserable from the fat it puts on you for the rest of your life if you keep eating it.

I'm 32 and have very faint stretch marks on my biceps from when I got swole as a teenager. Of course they were red, raised, and nasty back then. They're hard to see unless you're looking for them, not very raised and match the color of my skin (though I'm a pasty fuck and I don't know what they'd look like if I had a tan). So mine are a good 14 years old. Are they gone, no. Are they visible, nah, not really.

That said, if you have those really deep, craggy, nasty fucking nearly gore-tier hideous stretch marks some landwhales get, shit, I dunno if even a decade helps that stuff. The kind that have folds in them, you know? Probably fucked at that point.
