I used to make a cake type thing using 3 boxes of honey buns and 1 box of nutty buddys and a jar of Nutella. I'd put a box of honey buns, then a huge layer of nutella, then a honey bun and repeat. No or yes. I despise the taste of canned. Frozen works for me in stir-fries. Fresh is best though (for salads or cooking).

Buy a can and try it in a recipe (do not eat plain spinach from the can it's gross). If you don't like it, buy some frozen and see if that works. Or try fresh.

Investing in a pressure cooker is good if you cook a lot of beans and whole grains, which you should, because they are cheap and extremely healthy. Protect you from diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and promote longevity.

Whole grains are very important. Whole grain pasta, bread, bagels, etc. Unprocessed is best though, like brown rice, barley, or oatmeal. I eat a bowl of oatmeal every day.

I think people really underestimate the benefit of whole grains. Even for things like pasta, whole grain makes a huge difference.

Do you feel they help you in the long run? Do you stay within a certain amount of calories for it?

Cheat within your calorie limit. Make up the difference somewhere else. I wanted a little cheat yesterday so I had a mcdouble as a snack and ate a smaller lunch to accommodate those extra calories. I have regular cheat days, after I realized I don't want to "go on a diet" until I reach weight X then relapse into bad habits, but to make a permanent lifestyle change. And this is unlikely to happen if I live with the knowledge I can't have food Y in my life ever again.
Also cheat days don't mean constant pigout for 16 hours, I just eat what I feel like without worrying about macros and calories, I found out I'm satisfied with a much smaller portion than what I used to eat and I don't even go that much over my limit.

Maybe go to failure-1, without that last huffing puffing super slow back arching rep. Also you can rest longer between sets, you don't have to do one every 60 seconds, just don't spread them out throughout the day.
On your last set definitely go to failure, then immediately switch to incline pushups and do those to failure, then wall pushups to failure.
At the end of a good workout your arms should hurt when getting out of a chair.

You have to change your life, or those cheat meals will become the regular again and you will gain all your weight back and probably more. I've realized recently that I don't "cheat," but I try to eat really well throughout the week (usually 1k deficit, I'm fat so I have the calories to burn) and then on Saturday and or Sunday I just eat at maintenance. Going from 1500 cals to 2500 cals feels like a major cheat day, but in reality I'm just eating at maint. for 1-2 days and cutting the other 5-6.

Today i told myself that i would go to the gym at 19h but i didn't go because i was feeling very hungry and didn't want to work out with an empty stomach. Now tomorrow the cycle will continue with me telling myself to go to the gym in order to stop the IBS-C from fucking my life even further.

I've switched to mostly healthy stuff. I just make healthy meals now. Most of my meals for the day are extremely low-fat, low-sodium, and high in vegetables.

The most unhealthy thing I make is chickpea potato curry which has a lot of coconut milk, or bean burritos which have whole wheat tortillas, refried beans, black beans, salsa, onions, tomato, and avocado.

The most unhealthy thing I eat is like a frozen fruit bar for dessert, or nuts as a snack.

You can switch. It just takes time and a bit of dedication to stop yourself from buying crap, and eating crap.

You probably don't get enough fiber. 28 grams per day for a woman.

The more fiber you get, the more regular your BMs will be. Fiber also helps with menstrual cramps if you get those.

That sounds like a lot of motivation to work out. So do it. It's like brushing your teeth in the morning. It becomes a habit. you forget you're even doing it eventually. Just takes some innitial motivation at the start. If you can, join a 24/7 gym, go in the wee hours of the morning and try and make a routine of it. Make a routine of it regardless, every day same time, ect.

I had this "disease" for 3 years now. I did every test possible but my doctor couldn't figure out what i have and thought it was psychological, she was partially right. I went to a shrink and ever after that failed i figured out that i had IBS.

I'll try to eliminate egg and milk along with other stuff with gluten. I downloaded an app that tells me what i should and shouldn't eat. What sucks is that some of the stuff i'm supposed to eat don't end my hunger, so i get hungry like 20 minutes later after eating.

I never got the can't afford healthy food thing. Like broccoli/carrots/brown rice are all cheap. Also, you're eating less. How can you be spending more money? From regular foods I eat tofu, tempeh, seitan, beans, vegetables, and greens to get protein. And like most people that workout I also take protein shakes, just with vegan protein powders.

If you are just dieting and don't workout, as a vegan you probably don't need to supplement any. Just eat protein from beans, vegetables, etc.

Unless you are eating only a single plant source for your protein, and I literally mean a single plant, you won't have any problems with the completeness of plant proteins. Nah you'll still be fat. I'm 6'1'' too. Came down from 280. Got to 175 still looked like shit and fat. Depends on muscle tone desu. You can look good at 200 if you're an advanced lifter. Nothing to really do to prevent it. some cremes are memed around here and there for pregnant women who have loose skin. I have no idea about them desu. The best way is to just build up muscle in all parts of your body "filling up the skin" and get lean enough that the loose skin doesn't have any of the stubborn fat clinging to it and dragging it down. It won't tighten up if there is still fat attached.

Do any of you find it impossible to sleep some nights just before you go to work?

I'm a long time sufferer of insomnia and my anxiety keeps me awake and I don't even try to process it. Out of nowhere when I have a day scheduled at any place in my city for security it's easy shit, just go sit on my ass and open some doors check with some people and leave after usually 7 hours, but even though I'm not new to the job and know my way around it by now I still cannot find solace at night when it's just me by myself in my dark room trying to get just a wink of sleep in me.

I have paranoia and for most of my life I have been on edge about what others think about me and for that, I have had so many instances in my life where I have gone from overthinking mess to the plain old indecisive stump.

Tonight is the night where I simply just cannot get any sleep and hours of laying on my bed in silence with no lights and calming myself to the best of my ability has not worked.

How do you deal with it? I have accepted my fate of going into work completely drained and hoping today isn't one of those days, but it sure as shit is looking like it.

Why can't I just calm the fuck down? I'm scared.

I tried signing up to one for a while to use their pool, but I'm shit at getting up early, I work random hours and didn't feel like going if I finished at 9pm, and I guess I was too fucking lazy to ever go at the weekend.

I do have home equipment, and I regularly use that at midnight because I'm always home then, yet I never adjusted myself to go to a gym at normie hours.

Go to the doctor. Get prescribed a sleep aid like trazodone. Works great for me. Helps me calm down and go to sleep. I wouldn't be able to function some days without it.

You are also probably depressed and need an anti-depressant. Try taking up a hobby, or changing your hobbies.

I'm more mad I didn't control myself at ground round. They had 500 cal options but I went right for the bullshit. How the fuck am I gonna keep this weight off if I can't even control myself in a place with only ok food. Worst is my wife just doesn't understand. I am this anon who posted the whole insomnia deal and gotta be honest with you, /fat/. I'm going to quit my job before I have to go in. I could probably take more stress in me and get through the day by the skin of my teeth and plop on my bed after it's over but I'm not exactly too worried about the long run from 70 more dollars.

It's been an alright ride working with my security company but I need to focus on my fucking weight loss and my sanity from now on.

Anybody have any stories similar to the one I just told tonight? I'd like to hear them even if they end badly. I'm completely okay with being without a job for a week or two because of this shit. I just want to save what little patience I have for myself and use that to go forward headstrong towards the park next to my home with a jolly jog and a half.

Thaks for the medical advice and such I really do appreciate it. I will go to my doctor and ask her about these things.

Plus the schedulers are very strict and don't really give their workers much room to move in.

I was called in very short notice for a job yesterday and then they called me back only to tell me I would have to work today at 8 in the morning after I explained to them my sleeping schedule has been very bad recently due to the other shifts they have thrown at me lately.

If i were to tell them I couldn't make it I might as well just quit either way at this point.

It's a real shame but there are other companies out there so I'm not too worried. It's not like I have a bad rep or anything.

I worked security for 5 years and honestly its horrible.
its boring as shit, the only time i remotely enjoyed it was doing grave yard shift in a mall in a small town. and even then still get the depression and insomnia.

this last year i lived in a bigger city and had a post at a liqour store in the middle of bum central and the strees from that was literally killing my ass and anxeity through the roof. I finally quit a few months ago and don't regret it at all even though all i got nopw is a shitty part time job at 9 an hour and bills have been tough. It'll get better soon i'm sure, but i will never do security again.

I do IF (16-18/8-6 depending on my mood), low carb and 500 cal deficit and it works the best for me. I was 95 kg when I started at the beginning of march and now I'm down to 88 kg. I'm 190 cm btw and my goal is to get to 85 kg and then eat at maintenance. That's what works for me and I do that.

Another person might get results with a vegan only diet or low fat high carb diet or whatever. As long as you get results, see improvement on your body it doesn't fucking matter. Find whatever works for you and just stick to it

i like the feeling when i get to switch to a lower size or i can see my clothes get too big. im not even ashamed to wear clothes way too big for me. it shows what i achieved so far. i went from 7xl to 3xl. soon i lose the number and itl be "just" xxl.
