On IF with a rough deficit since Jan 1st, had my monthly weigh-in yesterday and am now almost 2kg under my goalweight I planned to reach in June, what the fuck? You know those spicy paprika peanuts? Or potato chips or corn puffs, whatever, the vessel is not important.
Why doesn't anyone make some low(er) calorie stuff spiced like that? I compared dry roasted peanuts with the flavored ones and the caloric difference is negligible.
Granulated bran, rye crackers, oat, barley chips, they all come with no preservatives, no salt and no flavor. I just want something worth snacking on that's not fucking 600 calories for a small packet.

My plan was to gradually reduce my daily calories to lose weight. I am around 400lbs and thought I'd eat 3000 calories for a week, then 2800 and stop at 1700

The problem is today I woke up STARVING. It was supposed to be the day I dropped from 2600 to 2400 calories. But I couldn't cope with the hunger so I ate 1000 calories this morning then decided to go for a long walk. It was fine, I walked for like 1 hour then walked through a Supermarket

Ended up buying 15 easter eggs. I've just finished eating them. I have been fucking ravenous all day, they must be 500 calories each so thats like 7500 cals.

The thing I am most ashamed of is how I have been eating them. I hid them around the house then drew a radar on a piece of paper with dots to indicate where the eggs were, and I pretended I was a smart 10 year old who designed a radar to cheat in a school easter egg hunt. I even went back to the store and bought a red cap and backpack so I'd be like TJ from the show Recess, then I pretended I earned the eggs and had to eat them

I mixed garlic powder, oregano, nutritional yeast, and basil into ~1 cup canned tomato sauce and spread it on top. Then I added some cut up onion, olives, and tomatoes as toppings.

It was my first time making cheese-less pizza but it came out really good. I was surprised how much like regular pizza it tastes. Much healthier too (basically just whole wheat bread with veggies).

Not him, but I use either cinnamon and sugar and fresh or dried berries or raisins. Last few days I've made it with a mix of water + juice from a can of pineapple chunks and adding some pineapple chunks when it's done cooking and topping with some cinnamon. Vanilla protein powder also works. Didn't like the chocolate flavor in it.

Another option I like is to mix the sweetened packets of Quaker oats like the Quaker Protein blends with more plain instant oats.

Steel Cut. The regular variety, not the quick version. I like to do overnight oats, a quarter (or half if I need the cals) cup of oats in a full cup of milk. Seal it up and leave it in the fridge for the next day.

Great dinner to come home to when I really don't want to cook. Turns out like chewy filling cereal.

Sometimes I'll put a little peanut butter in the mix, or a handful of raisins. Tried out pure cocoa powder too but it's a little too much.

Have you considered switching to a healthy plant-based vegan diet? I rarely max out my sodium or fat, and always hit at least 38g of fiber a day. Vegan diets lower blood pressure, protect you from diabetes, heart disease, and cancer, and can even reverse heart disease.

i haven't. i don't know how to cook. also i live with my parents and don't work so i don't really buy my own food. for years i've just binged on shitty foods i enjoy, eating anywhere from 2-4000 calories in a day. a few weeks ago i got on the scale and i was 13 pounds up from the last time i'd weighed myself (240-253) and i decided enough was enough. i'm still eating the same shitty food, just less of it, counting calories. it's working, for now, in that i'm losing weight. i'm back down to 244. but over the long term i've probably got to adopt a more balanced diet. i'm not even sure where to begin hence my previous post.

Fish was good for you until they polluted the fuck out of the oceans. Now the fish is filled with so much PCBs, dioxins, and mercury that the contamination may outweigh the benefits. You never know if the fish you're buying is from the samples that test high for contamination or not, so it's like russian roulette. Thanks humanity for completely fucking up our oceans. I don't have a guarantee for you one way or the other. I don't think science can offer one at this time. If you want to continue eating fish, that's up to you. It's probably the safest thing to add back. Farmed fish is much more contaminated than wild caught btw.

Main benefit of fish is omega-3 oil. But fish can't create omega-3 oils - they get it from eating algae. Instead of eating fish for the omega-3, you can buy a DHA/EPA supplement and take that instead, thus avoiding the contamination problem.

The world's fisheries are also heavily overexploited, but that's not really related to the short-term nutrition of consuming them.

My cheat meals are either about 1700 calories worth of chicken fajitas cooked with peppers, onions n a fuckton of garlic OR my recent treat has been when I have my ex over for a fuck session and I do a homemade pizza usually with red onions, mushrooms, cured meat of somekind and a decent amount of mozzerella. Works out about 1500-2000 calories for half a pizza bbbut at least I know exactly what's gone in it right down to the homemade dough. Plus I've perfected it to the point where it's preferable to takeout any day.

I started off at nearly 300lbs. I'm nearly 60lbs lighter now and still have a fat belly - however, because I've been working out for 3 days a week for the last year as well as dieting, my cardio has improved to the point where I'm actually fitter than the thin people where I work.
