Understood, you should probably look into other strength programs than SS though. There are some that have considerable volume, including accessory work in the 10-15 rep range. I've seen my most substantial gains in strength and size with these types of programs.

Just not as fast as if you ran some strength program.

But you'll make gains in size faster.

My only goal is

So it makes sense to do a routine that is for my goals.

Why not just start training for size, I never heard him say he wanted to lift X weight off the floor.

look at any powerlifting meet, you can see tiny guys lifting like 500lbs off the floor

I run 8 reps on my lifts for a few weeks. Then 6. Then 4.
Then back up to 8. Seems to work alright for me.

I got like 1 pimple at most a week/fortnight, basically cause of working out more = sweating more.
