SLDLs - four or five sets of ??? reps
Twelve minutes of back, reverse hyper, abs, DB shit, curls

Thu:
Deads- same as Mon
Bench - 5x3/2/1 with manageable weight. A few CGBP backoffs
SSB - (you could also use front squats, paused squats, whatever) same deal as Mon SLDLs

Sometimes I go in and do a daily max squat and bench and some lunges and DB bench and stuff too for a third day. Probably about every other week I get in an extra day.

Seriously, best I've felt in a while, lifts are moving up without much bw gain, and I have time during the week to live the rest of my life, do some heavy stretching, go for a run, cook good meals, whatever. I don't see myself going back to more demanding training for a pretty good while.

Many people recommend sheiko, 531 or even the nuckols programs.
<What is sheiko?
Russian powerlifting Coach, and his programs are just known as sheiko programs
<How does it improve my ability to lift weights?
It's a high volume (many lifts), lower intensity (moderate weights) and it relies on undulating periodization. To put it simply imagine a basic program like SS would make you squat on monday 3x5 100kg, wednesday you do 3x5 102.5kg and friday 3x5 105kg, which would be called linear progression as you move forward. With sheiko's programming you break your training cycle in 3 or 4 blocks(usually 4 weeks each), in which you will experience different intensities and volumes on a day to day basis, with different set x rep schemes, all being submaximal and never failing lifts. The program relies on lots of volume at around 60-70% of your 1rep max, which will fatigue the shit out of you and have you perfect your technical form of the lifts. As you approach the end of the cycle the intensity of the lifts increases and volume is tapered down. Last couple of weeks have the role of dissipating the fatigue which will maximize your strength potential. The program ends with the competition where you have new maxes. Based on these new numbers you start a new cycle. Many guys here run it and might be more eloquent than me in the description of the method.

Go with GSLP (Greyskull Linear Progression) rather than SS or SL, but Nuckols' The Journey or 28 Free Programs are likely better than GSLP.

In the end it doesn't matter too much as long as you pick the one you like and stick with it.

www.powerliftinggeneral.com for books. Go to the spreadsheet and find The Art of Lifting. It's an easy read and is a great introduction to training and everything related. After you've read it, you can read The Science of Lifting, which goes deeper into training and stuff.

Sheiko might be the best powerlifting program for somebody who is autistic and doesn't want to leave this Echo chamber.

There are four powerlifting gyms within a half hour drive of my house. I go to all of them throughout the year. I have yet to find another lifter that has found Sheio to be superior to other customized forms of programming.

Two of the guys that I train with have over a 2000 pound total at 242 pounds or under. Their training is more simple than you think along with all the other non drug users.

This haven for genetic dead-end is the only place where I hear sheiko tossed around so frequently like it is something special or not worthy enough to be recommended to everyone.

Most of the fags that recommended sheiko around here just aren't smart or brave enough to do their own programming or to hire an actual coach.

George and Phillip are the only ones around here who have seen significant success on boris's programming. And only one of them has over a 400 Wilks natural. And considering that 400 Wilkes is supposed to be so average then let that sink in for a moment.

You're also doing OHP as often. So the triceps, and to a slightly less extent the deltoids, and to a more lesser extent, the pectorals, are working three days per week. In a beginner, the OHP and bench press drive each other to an extent.

A beginner isn't strong enough for even weekly periodization to be an optimal idea. At best, if the goal is powerlifting, SS might be modified to bench 3x5 on Monday and Friday, with OHP on Wednesday.

Beginners, and really intermediates to one extent or another, should do OHP because it is an effective bench accessory AND because it'll help prevent shoulder injuries.

Good question. The progression doesn't really stem from the testing of strength, it comes from what you do in training. So in TM you test your maxes/rep maxes a lot to get a sign of wether the program works or not. In sheiko you only test for a bigger PR 2-3 times per program. Some people get better results from TM, some from sheiko. What I think is better with sheiko is that it allows for bad days better than TM and it's better suited to build 1RM strength.
