I really struggled lately to hit my daily calories due to having some depression the last few weeks. I am going to jump on some SSRI antidepressant as prescribed by my doctor which is notorious for reducing appetite and weight loss.

Do 4-8 sets with 75-85% of 1RM for 2-5 reps 3 times per week. Stop a few reps before failure. Reduce volume after 8-10 weeks and up the weights. Test max after doing lower volume for 2-4 weeks.

Alright /plg/, I just challenged a friend to a deadlift competition, to take place before we graduate, which should be around the end of April. I'd like to be able to bust out a 500lbs-er and crush him. Currently I can pull 385x5 conventional with chalk, haven't tested 1RM in a while.

FINAL RESULTS
8 weeks at -1250
Lost 35 pounds, 220 -> 185
Squat remained exactly the same
Bench went up 5 pounds, though I'm pretty sure I just learned to Try Hard while doing Bulgarian, I don't think I necessarily got stronger.
DL went up 10 pounds somehow, despite only deadlifting twice in 2 months, both times very submaximal.

Ultimately, I'm considering this a very successful cut. Will be following the exact same plan for future cuts.
