Might as well poll for opinions

Pic on the left is me at 17, when I first noticed my hairline was starting to get some thinning around the temples. Hard to see but you can see the outline.

Pic on the right is me today at 22. I'm a Norwood 2 but grow my hair out long enough to sweep over. Luckily my hair strands are naturally thick so it doesn't look like it's thinning anywhere and my crown is still fine.

Should I go on finasteride or just hope that recession/balding slows down? I've been debating for years, a couple of years ago I said I'd do it after turning 22 when my puberty had slowed down, I'm still nervous about the potential side effects of fin though and would rather not get perma-castrated.

I'm tall and muscular so having a receding hairline may not be the worst thing in the long run.

I started going bald when I was 15, began shaving it when I was 20 (5'4" manlet). I was asked all throughout high school and college if something was wrong with me. My only advice is to get over it, have a good sense of humor about it, and focus on more important things. Also, approach women, they'll almost never approach you.
