You can reduce that possibility if you take breaks a couple times per year to change your training focus (off-season). Do some conditioning, some oly lifts, bodybuilding, sports etc.

You'll improve your longevity and reduce the chance for mental burnout, stagnation, and injury.

Yes. They are the minority, however. Also remember that their drive might be near-infinite, but their connective tissue is not. HARD training has a price. And you never know when you're going to get the check.

I realised that my abs aren't being engaged cause they are fatigued and injure and as a result my glutes and lower back had to tighten the fuck up to support my load.

I've stretched my lower back and I'm currently pain free.

I need my abs to recover, they are the weak and thus make eceyenting else tighten.

It's really weird because I didn't realize I was getting stronger before doing the AMRAPs. Workouts were easy enough, but the weights still felt heavy.

When I did the squat AMRAP, I was legit surprised that the weight kept going up and up and up after the third rep, all the way to 8 reps and I could've kept going.

Sheiko really isnt a burnout program.

The way people run Starting Strength and TM is waaaaay worse. In those you work really close to your max, all the time, with very little experience.

In the Boris Special™ most you ever get up to are like triples at 85% (besides skills tests and such).

I personally think you have demonized it in your own head. Sheiko himself would rather an athlete be competitive long-term, than overreach and burnout.

I'm on week 5 of IML right now, so I guess I test in 4 weeks on week 9. My starting numbers were 150/190 for squat and deadlift, but the deadlifts are all feeling really, really easy so I just inflated my max to 195 after week 4. My 150 squat was high bar, so this is my first training block doing low bar and I've never actually maxed low bar. Maybe I'll get lucky and surprise myself with a huge pr of 165-170 or so.

I'm still running nuckols bench for upper body since I went from ~90 to ~110 in 3.5 months with no sign of it slowing down.

My weight has also gone up and is around 81-81.5 or so at 1.8m tall. When I last tested my maxes I think I was 79-79.5 kg or so.
