If/when you are providing answers regarding timeframe for gains, diet, routine (basically anything substantially affected by AAS), your answers could be unintentionally misguiding for that clueless anon. Sure plenty of us know "it" when we see it so we know to take those answers under a certain pretext. It's basically the same as people bitching about fake-natty IG models misguiding clueless people on how to achieve their look.

Also, just because two people look the same size in pictures doesn't mean they really are. Someone might have a smaller frame (narrower, thinner bones) and would look smaller in real life, but the small joints create the illusion of more size in a photo.

Sweet, glad I can keep an easier eye out for a known goodfella now. Appreciate the kind words as well. I still have another projected 18-24 months until I'm where I want to be, where I think I'll be content. But if you asked me two years ago if I'd be happy enough just to maintain what I have now I would have said hell yes. Any fitness goal feels a lot more like a carrot on a stick these days. Helpful in order to stay optimistic and always progressing, but the daily process of this lifestyle being rewarding and fun is 100x more important than reaching "there", because "there" won't look like "there" once you're THERE.

I've lifted "properly" for about 2 years now. I bulk using PPL and I keep the routine the same while cutting until towards the end where I lower the volume and/or frequency to match the slower recovery.

I need your help /fit/, I am constantly thinking about how I don't want to waste time and if I am making maximum progress and all that, yesterday I had a conflict with a friend because he suggested to go to Wendy's. I am turning into a turboautist with no gains that is constantly nervous.

I've started going to the gym about 4 weeks ago or so, was 100 kg, slowly turning into a fat slob from my usual skellyfat mode, no prior sports experience other than Rugby but I finished when I was like 13, little physical activity because I am a concept art fag which means that when I am working I sit most of the day at PC with my Wacom. After visiting /fit/ on and off for quite some time I decided it was time to change, plus I believe that working out might add some discipline to my life that I am in dire need of.

I am 187 cm tall, currently at 95 kg which I nice I guess, I started dieting and all that but I feel as if I am slipping up somewhere. I mean I've lost a lot of my gut and people tell me that I look a lot better but shouldn't I have made more progress with fat loss in 4 weeks? I am following general sticky advice and also counted my macros and all that, how fast can one expect to lose fat if they are doing everything correctly? Also maybe I should start Keto?
As for working out, since the sticky suggests that I shouldn't even try bulking until I am at like 10% body fat I interpreted that like I should go on deficit, try to lose as much fat as possible while making some minimum gains and then once I am at 10% body fat I can start making actual gains...right? Because my gains are absolutely minimal, though I am not sure what to expect from 4 weeks. I mean my biceps and triceps are a lot larger when I flex them and I can actually properly feel them now but their increase might be a placebo when they are not flexed and who gives a fuck about how they look when they are flexed. My chest is less flabby and my back generally feels stronger cont.

My back doesn't hurt after long hours of sitting and drawing anymore and I generally feels better, I am also constantly semi-tired but I feel better.
I am following my friends beginner routine which he was on when he was starting, and he is pretty /fit/ now so I trusted it, but I am not sure now especially since it's 3 days of workout 1 days of rest and my cousin who is super /fit/ told me that I will never make gains as a natty unless I let my body rest plenty, he does 2 days of rest between workouts.

Also I am not sure if I should start squats because again my cousin who is super /fit/ tells me that unless I master form by watching videos first and squatting at home first it's pointless. But my cousin generally feels like a guy that puts health above all to a silly degree, if I would fully follow his advice most of the heavy work outs don't start till three months in.

Were you guy in the old thread whose routine was p90x? If so I have two questions:

I've been doing p90 for two weeks now, but I'm pretty sure I'm fucking up my diet somehow. Would like some advice. My diet consists of chicken breast cooked every fucking way imaginable for variety+a salad+ sometimes brown rice or pasta always with veggies mixed in. Not sure how often I should be eating those. I try to eat whatever fresh fruit I can get my hands throughout the day. For breakfast, I usually eat oatmeal, cereal, or bagels with cream crease. I the type of solid cheese I eat is feta. I'm working on incorporated nuts into my diet, but for not I take a quite a bit of multivitamins daily. Any advice or from other /fit/izens?

Did you do any extra weightlifting for those arms or is that pic after pure p90x?

I don't pig out but my diet hasn't been exactly optimal either. I've made some adjustments lately like eliminating junky snacks entirely, cutting way back on sugar, and eating more fat/protien and fewer carbs. Hopefully that'll make a difference.

I always feel like I'm about to die at the end of my workouts but the truth is I don't push myself as hard as I possibly could. Guess I just have to step it up and stop being a pussy.

As for sleep, well I used to smoke pot a lot which fucked with my sleep, caused me not to dream and get very poor rest. I've quit that recently too and noticed my sleep has improved a lot.

Well, see you next year. Hopefully by then I'll have made at least a minuscule amount of noticeable progress.

Age 20 5'9" 152lbs lifting for about 5 months. I got up to max weight of 175lbs and took a break from the gym, currently living pretty sedentary (going back to the gym next week) attempting to cut to 140~ on 1,000 calories.
