Squats have never felt so garbage. Fuck ID. What the hell could I possibly do? I'm already doing a fuckton to warm up and I still don't feel warmed up enough. I still hit it, but fuck I'm so pissed with how terrible it felt.

I feel like I need either a little more volume or intensity on RD, due to not feeling acclimated enough to heavier/difficult sets/weights on ID. Any tips? I do 70% of 5 rm x2x5. Would I benefit from another set? Or a little higher intensity instead?

I started out two-ish years ago so I could offer some noob advice. SS isn't bad, but no teenage boy will be motivated if he doesn't gain any bicep gains within a month or so. I would suggest a 5x5 of major compounds movements eg OHP, bench, squat, dead, chinup and pull up. But make sure to tack on some bicep curls. Apart from this the obvious things like get him eating enough. Personal question though, how far is he into puberty, I had tried hitting the gym at 14 but saw no solid gains, most likely my test levels were just to low. Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, absolutely. But for a beginner it does combine an ample mix of both strength and hypertrophy. Recently I have been doing 5 sets of 2 reps at 95% of my 1RM and I have seen my bench and deadlift increase at an acceptable rate. But you couldn't expect a beginner to do that, or for that matter the bro split, they wouldn't be able to hit the same intensity that experienced lifter could.

I enjoy doing TM, but I have some questions someone might be able to answer.
I ran TM last 2 months and still got a bench PR, but on VD I had a hard time getting the 5x5 done. I felt that the percentages were to high. Also the 1x5 on ID was hard. (as in, I failed it multiple times). Should I lower percentages on VD (or sets?) and lower reps on ID?
I feel that my squat and deadlift are going up faster with TM than bench.

Pick a bench program that isn't shit.

If you insist on doing TM: pick a volume that is as low as possible while still driving progress on ID.

For ID you should get in at least 5-6 reps, I prefer doing them in two sets of 3a instead one set of 5.

I would also recommend a few back off sets on ID

I do a thumbs around grip but with my elbows and shoulders in a position like the typical rippe grip one anyway. I don't find the thumb makes that much difference for me if I'm consciously trying to get my hands over the bar anyways.

I'd like to be able to do the eblows down grip like most of the ipf chaps, but I feel like I can't et a stable bar rack and it fucks my elbows even with wraps
