dude this "language" is for turbo plebs. I used to see Esperanto ads in the back of comic books. She makes a video called "ESPERANTO LIVES" and then talks in English. Fucking ridiculous. nobody respects this bullshit language. nobody. learn a real language, not some made up horse shit. please.

I recommend memrise for learning language. Japanese in my case. duolingo doesn't have japanese *yet*. which I am suspecting is kind of an ace up their sleeve for when their popularity starts falling.

Its pretty easy to learn, i was bored one afternoon and learned about 1000 words of Esperanto together with most of their (basic) grammar rules.
It is not worth it, you should spend your time learning English Spanish French or (written)Chinese/Mandarin.
It is fun as a party trick but thats it, since noone that goos to party's actually knows Esperanto you can get away with a limited knowledge and just make some words up when you don't know them.

You know where that places esperanto on this list? dead last. You would be able to communicate with 38X the amount of people by learning Tamil over Esperanto or 75X the number of people learning Swahili.

English is not only the accepted world language it functions as the learning language and is used to communicate science, trade, entertainment and diplomacy globally. In that sense it has quantity and quality; unlike arabic which has 353 million speakers although doesnt really bring much to the global table compared to other languages like mandarin or korean in my opinion.
