Trying to fix a pair of headphones. Does anyone know where I can buy a cable like this/what it's called, or is it propietary bullshit?

3.5 mm ask your local music shop

Ye im pretty certain it's a 3.5mm Male to 2-Male but there is literally no where that seems to sell it. You'd think it'd be common as piss but i guess not. Unless im missing something...

They should be common. Maybe try looking for "aux cable"
You can always make one with a splitter. Get female to female ends like you'd use for plugging your phone into the car. Then plug them into the splitter

wouldnt that fuck with the stereo if i were to use the headphones for gaming?

Yeh except that's not the right cable at all, friendo.
Don't know where you can get one, but what you have there op, is a 3.5mm male trs to dual 3.5mm male trs.
Personally, I'd just buy two aux cables, and splice them.
This is >>>/diy/ make the damn thing.
>3.5mm stereo plug
>two 3.5mm mono plugs.
>cable - 2 conductor shielded
>shrink tube
Pic related is a 1/4in. version of it.

Ops pic is of stereo on all ends

Tip ring sleeve is right left shield. Two are clearly marked L and R. I'm not sure why stereo would be needed in that case. If it is just wire it that way. The redundancy of it seems pointless though. Whatever the case may be, it's very easy to make.

I'm assuming that the earphones them selves are keyed to only receive the appropriate signal, while the cable sends both to each side. It's actually igneous design choice.
