0. Download images without looking (use the thumbnails or whatever)
1. Open GIMP without an image and go to Filters > Blur > Gaussian Blur > 66 is fine for most image sizes, or you can use more to be safe.
2. Without looking, open your image and use the keyboard shortcuts for Duplicate Layer (Ctrl + Shift + D) then Repeat Filter (Ctrl + F).
3. Now you have a top layer that's blurry and safe to look at as you decide what needs censoring. You can delete parts of the blurry layer to show the original in the layer below.

If that doesn't work out for you, censor some images of fully clothed girls or add more censors/captions to already censored stuff. the point is to contribute.

besides, will you really remember some image from 4chan in a month anyways?

Anger and disgust are definitely up there, in terms of general tone. Content-wise, I would rather like to point out that many caption "themes" often turn me down such as cucking or black supremacy content. Another bad kind of caption are the ones that attempt to "explain" that the censors are there due to technology or magic.

In terms of what I do like aside from general anger and disgust, I want to say that both small penis humiliation and chastity are nice for me aswell as general loser-calling. Finally, crossdressing and being called a sissy are also great, but it should focus more on crossdressing and "be a girl" themes than simply calling me a faggot.

here's an update about the censored booru I've been working on.

I finally managed to tag everything under artist_request and censor_request, at least to the extent that reverse image search would let me. that means that whatever still has those tags will need to be manually recognized.

I guess what's next is to go through censor_request, at least those will be easier since I don't have to source each one. also there are some uploads that were made before I implemented the css coloring for prefixes and the editor tag, eventually I will go back and fix those too.

I was thinking you could add light_caption for captions of like 4 sentences or less of text in total, and heavy_caption for anything that's several paragraphs. i think being anonymous in the thread is difficult for trading requests, since it's hard to know who you're replying to. We could make a thread on the booru forum for requests, it would be more permanent/less anonymous, but then people would have to actually check/post there.

I'd also like to add perspective tags for the captions. first_person_narration which implies the character(s) are talking directly to you, second_person narration which implies there's a narrator who's not in the scene that's talking directly to you, and third_person_narration which implies they are talking about the character in a typical narrative fashion.

Nobody starts out writing perfectly, it takes some practice. I encourage you to just write up a caption for an image and post it asking for constructive criticism. Sometimes as I look at images I try to imagine my own captions for them, even though I might never write it down. It helps with coming up with scenarios and dialogue for when you are writing.

Also, people tend to judge their own work too harshly, most of the time it is fine. People will be happy just to see new content.

absolutely, more images are always welcome. for tagging, you can either do what I did, reverse image search to get artist/series/character and then use those other tags to tag whatever else was relevant, or you can do what CCA did, copy all the tags from like danbooru and add the prefixes and censoring tags yourself.

hmm, well I looked at the code for the mass uploader, and I don't understand it enough to modify it.

probably what will be the best way (given that you have the tags somewhere for copy pasting) would be:
1. use the mass uploader to upload a chunk of images. you can put in your editor tag since it will go on all of them
2. with the mass editor userscript, the tag editor box will be open immediately on the image page and it has an option to navigate to the page with an id right next to yours (example from page id 100, you have a link to 99 and 101).

that should at least save you some of the tedious clicking around.

if you're gonna type out tags yourself, I'd recommend the augmentation userscript instead. it has in place tag editing, an autocomplete function, and turns spaces into underscores. however it doesn't work well with the mass editor, so you have to choose one or the other.

I'm glad someone thinks it's interesting. I just jot down notes now and then when ideas hit me. Sometimes that's when I look at other captions and like an idea, or sometimes I'm at work or other things and my mins drifts off and catches an idea that I feel compelled to write down before I lose it.

The only bad thing is that typically these ideas either don't have a home (image) or they need to be re-tooled to avoid being extremely long.

I find writing captions for an image that I'm already working on is ideal. I already know what I need to base it on and I can find a good length for the text as I play around with it.

It is nice to have some ideas stored away for when I get writer's block though. Having an image you really want to censor but not having a caption to go with it kinda sucks in my opinion, but that's because I love captions a lot.

I am finally caught up with uploading and tagging my own edits and the ones uploaded with the tagme tag.

Here's my to do list, typed out so that I don't forget, but also so if someone wants to help out they know where to start.
1. censor_request. this will be the easiest to help with, and its probably the most work quantity wise.
2. artist_request and character_request. these two I have already gone through and tagged what I can with reverse image search. contributing here would mean recognizing the artist/character or having the original for sourcing.
3. fixing early uploads without prefixes. some of the images uploaded before I made the css and tag prefixes don't have the prefixes that color the tags.
4. editor tags. many of the images from CCA were uploaded before I made the editor tag, so they need someone to add it. also somehow 3 of my uploads (from account censored) did not get my editor tag when I went through. the search doesn't even let me do "user:censored -editor:tbw" to find them.

as for tips, you can get a harsher censor by not selecting in the shape of the breasts. if you draw a box area, it will deny even the shape and outline of the breasts. also I can sort of tell you did something to the navel, but your selection is too small to make it that noticeable.

a general tip I give to everyone is to check your work before saving it. this means zoom to fit the image on your screen and check that the edits look good at a normal viewing size instead of being zoomed in. if you write captions you can proofread for typos and grammar while making sure its readable.

and this is just my personal preference, but if you're going to censor the face at all, just use a thin black bar for the eyes.
