I have to ask. Why is so much TG related material dedicated to revenge fantasy? More specifically, why are the guys who are turned into women often don't even really deserve it? I think the answer's a bit more simple than the BDSM angle. It's more that it's difficult to become invested in any story when the protagonist is a terrible person. If you account for many readers self-inserting as the main character in TG stories, you can see why the "unjustly punished" type stories are more common than ones in which the main character deserves it.

When unjust punishment is used, though, the writers have to provide a reason for the antagonist character to be unjust. That often results in the antagonist becoming unreasonable, evil or insane because the stories are written for masturbation rather than pure interest in the characters. As a result, the characterization ends up being lazy. The antagonist then functions in the story less as an actual character than a force of nature. The plot tends to become more unfocused, illogical and pointless the longer it draws on because it's entirely motivated by a character who exists only so the writer can add the fetish into the story.

I'm guessing that you have to sacrifice either narrative logic or reader sympathy with the protagonist when writing this material. Most writers prefer to sacrifice the former before the latter so the story has at least one sympathetic character, but I still see plenty of TG stories with rapists and the like as protagonists. The unjust punishment scenario isn't an exclusive preference anyway.

The thing is, if you're going to go commissioning or requesting something from an artist or writer, being super specific is not a good thing, because it leaves no room for the person making the thing to actually go into detail of their own as they feel they need to. Ranma via plot device has curse amplified so it begins to override his regular form, slowly undergoing osmosis with the endgame being water having no effect on Ranma's physical form.

Starts off as a cuntboy, gradually filling out over a year. Would start off as only known between him and Dr. Tofu (perhaps Cologne to give exposition?) but slowly build up on those in on the secret as time goes on. Akane and Ryoga learning early on is a given, with the romantic split being between them (/u/ and vanilla RanRyo being explored). A majority of other love interests lose interest once Ranko is known to be the endgame.

Drama would be driven by the cast examining how they treat Ranma and Ranko differently and how the line is blurred as time goes on (have gag for Kuno thinking Ranma is turning into a doppleganger of the Pigtailed Girl, and immediately drops his infatuation if informed, not wanting to cheat on his beloved.)

The main turmoil is Ranma being forced to confront his own self-image and detachment from femininity due to having his regular form and cursed form be separate entities. Ranma would need to accept his/her own limitations, and understand that Ranma is still Ranma even if he changes/grows as a person. Ranma growing as she learns she doesn't need to dive deep to be female, but diving at all doesn't make him weaker.

Now, you're right that there exists something called "fair use", which is an "affirmative defense" to be used in court, where you say, "yes, I infringed on their copyright, but it's ok because..." and then the judge will look at factors like how much of the work was copied, what your impact on the work's commercial viability was, etc., to determine if your use falls under fair use or not. Copyright laws are intentionally quite strict about what counts as copyright infringement, since they were written in a time before the internet made sharing fast and easy.
