I help admin a MMD giantess server. We get all sorts of people willing to try it out.
I've seen all sorts of shit, from some nice, well-designed pictures that actually take the creator time to create, to the "Oh look I can pose a foot with a T-Pose and put the camera under it. It really comes down to knowing how to be original in terms of concepts, using diverse effects, making poses/models smooth and editing it afterwards.
There've been a few people in the server who just immediately try animating and they make some of the worst stuff I've seen. T/A-Poses everywhere, no interpolation and overall cringiness (horrible dialogue, self-inserts, etc). Makes me hate using MMD myself a bit.

It's really how much effort you put into each detail that determines the outcome. If you just pull everything out or your ass people will still like it, but your standards have to be SUPER low to do so.
At least Proerdd puts in work.
