I get that people like to complain about when a Writing.com interactive story isn't good for them, and I get that it can feel pretty lame when a story centered around a series you like (like FE) isn't of high quality.

If a story is bad to you, then just make some additions to it yourself. You never know if you're actually good or not at writing until you give it a try. I always thought I could never write these stories well, but now I am at least half decent with what aspects I focus on.

Starting is the hardest part, I think. That's why it's best to start with an idea or a scene that's clear in your head, and then build off of that. I find that sometimes I can get in the groove and write very quickly, and other times it's painstaking because instead of just "knowing" how something should play out, I have to go step-by-step and reason out every little detail.

It depends on your goals, too. Writing smut that you like that's just for jerking off is pretty easy, because there's little emotional factor. It's just a paint-by-numbers, "I find xyz hot, so I put that in the story and call it a day". Writing an actual story that is also smutty is harder, but can be more rewarding.

This community needs content producers of all kinds, so it would be great if you took the plunge and started writing yourself. And if you need somebody to proofread your work or bounce ideas off of, I'm open.
