I like my gender bending nice and slow. That is why I loved Boku Girl a lot. Boku Girl in general is exceptional, keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. And the MC is very cute. Good enough to get an anime, although they might have to cut lots of stuff out, such as half-naked lolis. (Who knows, Boku no Pico was made after all...)

I have found another one called Nozomu Nozomi, where the boy wishes to be a girl after crossdressing. Unlike Boku Girl, the MC in this one is pretty cool with being a girl, so it's a different flavor, but I like both approaches. This one is a lot shorter than Boku Girl.

Does anybody know of any other gender bender stories that are more of a process, not just the characters getting "poofed"? Most of the time that doesn't work for me, and neither does body swapping, which leaves me with very few options.

Play Yuna's route until you get a scene where she strongly rejects Akira, this is about 2/3rds through her's. Then go through Nagisa's until you reach her branching point, the scene where you get an option before any sex scene triggers. One of those scenes will trigger an H scene where you have sex with Nagisa in front of Akira. Normally this scene results in a single hypnosis thing you apply to Akira afterward (which, IIRC, is to reverse his opinions on what makes a "beautiful" and an "ugly" woman), but if you've gotten far enough in Yuna's route before hitting this scene then you'll get a second option which starts the TG route. Keep in mind that you can do both Yuna's and Nagisa's routes concurrently, which I'd recommend doing so you don't hit what I think is the 31 day limit where the harem end automatically triggers.

It's pretty good if you like mind control TG and don't mind dicks. Akira/Shouko's increasing femininity is pretty boner inducing. There's also a couple of cross dressing scenes in the miscellaneous sex scenes you can get.

Question: I'm making a gender bending rpg.

I would like to tie the changes to magic used. The more you use say, fire, the bigger your tits get.

Or, maybe you just change form when you acquire new magic?

I'm not sure. I like the thought of the first. The slow change is the sexist to me. But simple magic girl body changes would allow me to commission better art, while slow changes would require a more generic body viewer.

What do you guys and gals like more? Options or a few simple quality drawings?

I think the slow changes would be better for story and plot. Like, the changes are so subtle at first you could go the first few towns and not really know what is happening. And towards the end you could try to hard mode it and stop the gender change and not use magic or embrace it and become like a goddess.

Always had an idea for a DCBK Metroidvania with a mix of Wario Land, Metroid Prime 3, and Castlevania, wherein you Dragongirliness slowly rose over time, with the meter being depleted by using magic/egglaying. Certain move upgrades would shrink your bar so your vanilla form is more monstergirly while adding new abilities (both required and as bonus).

Then depending on item percentage, playstyle (limiting magic usage), and a few story choices/sidequests you get endings tailored to your character (one has you succumb to the curse and going full dragon, another leaves you vanilla genderbent but no longer lusty/draconic, one leaves you as MILF Dragoness Broodmother, etc.)

Boku Girl wasn't "nice and slow"; it just kept resetting to the status quo whenever something happened because the author didn't want the story to progress. Nozomu Nozomi was much better because it had a feeling of progression; the MC wasn't OK with being a girl initially but she gradually got so. I liked that it was short; Boku Girl is a prime example of a series that goes on for too long.

There was also enough zaniness in the entire manga that nothing felt like filler, which would be a sign that it was going on for too long. I was also glad that I could spend an entire day reading the series.

Magical camp is a good example of how to do this, but if you could include more things, such as shoulders, PLEASE DO.

The option to embrace or resist is vital, too. Also be very careful with things like changing sexual orientation. And changing your hair and clothes would be great, too.

I feel like making MMD files for all different body types would be the best, but maybe getting a programmer to help you so the changes in the body are processed instead of created would be better. I don't know how well you could pull that off, but if you did you could make a truly groundbreaking eroge.

All in all I want to see you succeed at doing this, you seem to have the idea that is exactly what appeals to me. I for one would be beyond thrilled. I know it is probably really tough to make, but if you are serious I would support you on Patreon.

That was the plan. I was going to start with healing. So it would be an internal change and the story could progress for a bit for the MC even realizes what is going on.

Yeah, I would like to have multiple endings with one that you have to hard mode through and use no magic and grind to get your strength back. Maybe some kind of Berserker ending where you got through the game with nothing but physical attacks, but most of your comrades are dead because you refused to use magic to heal them or buffs.

I'd like to have lots of options in that regards. With NPC that you can sex/date but with conditions. Like gay/bi men that will only fuck another man, and those paths close off after you develop a vagina. I think that alone would give replay-ability.

That is where it becomes either/or. Hair, shoulders, and faces and stuff get easier if you just have an artist draw images of different body types. It becomes harder if you have like a model in flash that changes. Like a tit that gets bigger in flash is easy. It is a pretty well known curve.

I never doubted how the story would end. There was some awkwardness between Takeru and Mizuki but that didn't stop them from almost fucking a bunch of times, only to be conveniently interrupted by something and go back to acting as if nothing had ever happened. This was stupid, lazy and there just to provide fanservice and a false sense of progress. But of course it wasn't enough, so Boku Girl introduced a stream of annoying characters to cockblock Mizuki and pad things out.

I didn't like the "zaniness" either; the author made Mizuki act like an idiot in order to make writing jokes easier, which made me dislike the character. All in all I found Boku Girl disappointing.
