You need to read more hentai. There's some good shit out there, desu. There's a lot more fappable hentai than there is fappable smutfics, especially if we're talking exclusively about the parts dealing with sex. Had a story idea. There's an accident and an Astronaut crashes in the ocean. They're discovered by a mermaid and has to work to communicate with them before their air runs out in a few days. Or before explaining that humans don't survive underwater so well.

Go watch Plague of Gripes' 3-parter on how to write Horror well. In it, he explains, among many other things, that the ultimate way to get someone to enjoy your narrative is to convince them to agree with it initially.

Snake, one of the things that you realize once you become a writer or a GM is that you have to figure out how EVERYTHING works. Chemistry, amateur weapons, investigations, how bureaucracies work, how people act, physics, the list goes on.

I think I'm seeing the problem now, it's less about the dialogue in that one scene being bad, which is what I was hung up on, and more of a prevailing narrative problem.

I think the best course of action, rather than to get bogged down trying to rewrite it, is to move on to the next commission, which also has some pretty dark themes, and hopefully apply what I've learned there.

I would kinda like to see her be bought and kept as a pet by an opposing general. Stories like this (see: half of all hentai) are almost all gang rape. I think it would be kinda neat to see her instead be taken in and broken by a rival instead of an endless sea of soldiers (and invariably her own men). I also believe that domination/submission works better with a smaller number of participants.

What were you thinking of for the setting? It might be fun to use some kind of ancient empire that has a tradition of enslaving leaders and turning them into pets. I rather like the idea of a civilization that judges its rules and generals by the size of their conquered harems.

I'm actually still deciding on whether to create a new setting, or to use my existing fantasy world for this story. My pre-existing world does have a tribal ancient empire of sorts (think Sunset Invasion) as well as pockets of civilized medieval-type kingdoms (somewhat like 14th c. HRE)

Obviously communication will have to be a significant theme of the story, I'm going to have to do some research into that and come up with an in-depth game plan.

For now all I can say is that Borealans can learn human languages, native Borealan languages would probably be difficult or impossible for humans to pronounce besides a few simple words, and that lots of gesturing and miming will probably be involved.

The Rama series, by Arthur C Clarke, good lord there's some incredibly awkward sex shit in those books that actually makes them fairly unpleasant to read in some areas, and I don't think Larry Niven has written a single story that didn't have a weird sex scene.

Hell he invented the concept of 'Rishathra' in the Ringworld series which describes the act of interspecies sex between all the different hominid sub-species on the installation, of which there are thousands. They do it as trade, barter, to seal contracts, any excuse really.
I don't even know where to begin describing that shit, from the 'vampires' who use sex pheromones to lure prey, to the grass giants who are like eighteen feet tall and laugh at one regular sized hominid because their dicks would break her. Then there are the carrion-eating ghouls, the mermaid-like River People, thos random giraffe-like hominids Louis Wu fucks for literally no reason in the jungle, the list is endless.
Then there's that scene in Footfall where the aliens get a hold of 'Deepthroat' and screen it for the humans to measure their reactions.

I intended to look this over earlier, but my week has been rather busy.

First of all, do not write internal monologue in quotations. It's terribly awkward and adds nothing. Also, nobody actually thinks to themselves in full sentences. It's enough to just explain what the character is thinking.

For a first-time writer, your narrative style is pretty good. This is a bit short (and presumably incomplete), so it is hard to give a full appraisal, but I found little issue. The only complaint I could make on this topic is that you jump a lot, between characters and through time. It gets tedious quickly and gets hard to follow after a while.

Unfortunately, this story suffers from an absolutely critical flaw. This may be a smut thread spawned from a fantasy/sci-fi smut thread, but that does not mean that the reader can be suspected to entirely disregard rationality. Suspension of disbelief is common in erotic fiction, but this pushes it to a whole new level. Magic in modern society is one thing. It's acceptable as a premise and doesn't require an excessive amount of revision. Some guy dumb enough to drink something he can't identify, who lives with a sister that appears to be an anime stereotype, then goes on to stick his dick ONTO other people without concern (apparently trusting the mysterious potion to work as promised) is something else altogether.

The key to fantasy in general, particularly erotic fantasy, is to only and ever change the premise. You can set the story wherever you want and fill it with all kinds of bizarre creatures; that's what makes it fun to write. However, believable situations and characters are sacrosanct. Building a rapport with the reader is the first step to writing any kind of story. If your situations are bizarre and unfounded and your characters react in entirely unreasonable ways, this is impossible.

If I were you, I would put this one back on the drawing board. Genital swap is fun, but this is ridiculous.

That's actually what I was expecting going in, with the way the opening paragraph builds up this ominous-sounding scene where he discovers the utilities bill. And later, after he's taken the magic penis potion and thinks he isn't a complete dick, well, I'm waiting for him to become one. His sister to become trapped in the dick like a genie in a lamp in the final line.

I don't know, I think the beginning (unintentionally?) set it up as a comedy, and the next scenes (unintentionally?) reinforced that belief. Except it didn't happen, so it comes off as oddly serious -- granted, that might be because it's unfinished.

The girlfriend sounds completely unlikeable, though, and could use, well, any redeeming qualities, or at least a reason why he is still with her.

I'm a game dev that wants to make some /d/ grade hentai games (Primarily monster girl type stuff) and I'm interested in hiring a writer or two to help me with lewd scenes and character dialogue.

I'm not really sure how to go about finding a writer that's a good fit.

It's really easy to check artists since you can very quickly skim over their portfolios but it's harder to do with writers.
