I try to stay aware of my own confirmation bias when it comes to fetish stuff not being exactly to my taste but I swear there's something up with MMD, Some of the animation is really impressive, particularly with Manzi and that first link, but God damn you'd think "naked adult woman" or just "attractive woman not dressed like a ponce" would have a stronger market share in a fetish scene than "none at all".

There isn't exactly a shortage of 3DCG animation tools and people don't use MMD because it's the best one. It's used because it's accessible with practically 0 technical knowledge prerequisites while also being very supportive of animesque models made by Japanese dudes on the Internet.

Is that surprising?

People make content of characters because they like those characters, and the clothing becomes part of a character's identity since fictional media doesn't have people swapping costumes often.

In a 3D space it's a pain in the ass to make a model for an amateur, so they'll go for the one that'll make the most people happy, which would of course be the character's primary design. Vast majority of MMD work is made by people with even less understanding than the ability to make a model, so they'll use other peoples' (hence the low variety in MMD works, even across whatever the purpose of the video or picture is) and do what they can with it. At best they'll make a model edit that takes one of those really popular pairs of boots and adds it to another model or something.

All that plus the majority of people that have a size fetish not giving a shit if the character's gratuitously naked or not since that's not the main point leads to what you generally get.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go upload MMD Growth Walking Test #4 (more coming soon, but first I need to shut down my account and go into the dark for a couple years. you'll never find #2, it's an ancient artifact)

Yeah I agree. Not from a technical standpoint mind you, the effects, scale, and general effect were all quite amazing given the usual quality of size animations.

It's just, nothing happened for like, 9 minutes. I get the point of some buildup, but this was 2014 Godzilla levels of buildup, and the final payoff simply wasn't worth it. I wish he'd cut back on the total runtime, and had more interactions. Too much of it was just people standing around, and not enough stomping, eating, sitting, etc.

I prefer his other animations because they not only get to the point faster, they actually have a point to begin with.

I wish some autistic saint would blend together Western animation's physics, with MMD's style models. I don't know what it is, but Alt's stuff and that bunny girl video have really good weight on their movements.

I like really short hair because I find uniformity and simplicity attractive. I like Halo armour because I'm in to leather and the female spartan models are really stacked in the back, and the leg armour accents their curves imo.

It's just a look that drives me crazy and I know there's a group of of people who feel the same way (all the models I use come from a porting community that makes armored Halo smut) So I make stuff for that under served fringe.

I'm so astounded as to how everytime I post some giant armoured lady a bunch of people (not talking about you here, you seem very reasonable) get so offended start telling me that my shit would be better if they were nude. Nah, I'm actually pretty starved for projects and can't wait until Tenoseka's finished so I can finally start translating.
I'll be done with this update of Size Matters tomorrow or the day after that, and then it's back to twiddling my thumbs until the next update (of either that or Little Snatcher).
I've been considering picking up more projects recently, but I gotta get the creators' 100% explicit permissions first, and more often than not I'm too shy to approach them and ask.
